The Queue
As you approach TriceraTop Spin, you’ll find yourself in the heart of DinoLand U.S.A., a fun and colorful area filled with playful nods to dinosaurs and the prehistoric past. The queue for this attraction is simple and open-air, reflecting the laid-back, carnival-like atmosphere of the surrounding area. Brightly colored signs, festive music, and dinosaur-themed decorations set the tone for a lighthearted experience. The line typically moves quickly, and the queue area is shaded, making it a pleasant wait, especially for families with young children who are eager to climb aboard their very own dinosaur.
The Ride
TriceraTop Spin is a gentle, family-friendly ride that offers a fun experience for guests of all ages. You’ll board a triceratops-shaped vehicle that can seat up to four people, perfect for families to enjoy together. The ride is similar in style to classic “Dumbo” or “Magic Carpets of Aladin” attractions, where each vehicle can be controlled to move up and down as it spins in a circle.
As you take to the skies, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of DinoLand U.S.A., with its colorful landscape and playful decor. The ride is smooth and steady, making it ideal for younger children or anyone looking for a more relaxing experience amidst the excitement of the park.
The Ride Vehicle
The ride vehicles are charming triceratops figures, complete with bright, cheerful colors and friendly faces. Each vehicle has two rows, seating up to four guests comfortably.
Riders use a joystick to control the height of their triceratops as the ride spins, allowing for a customizable experience. The vehicles are easy to board, with low steps. the seats are not extra wide, making them snug for 2 adults. The lap strap provides a secure fit without feeling restrictive, perfect for a smooth and enjoyable ride.
Rider Swap
Rider Swap is not typically necessary for TriceraTop Spin, given its gentle nature and appeal to all ages. However, if needed, you can still speak with a Cast Member about arranging a Rider Swap to accommodate your group.
Accessibility
TriceraTop Spin is fully accessible to guests with mobility challenges. The ride is at ground level, and the vehicles are designed for easy transfer from a wheelchair or scooter. Cast Members are available to assist with any needs during the boarding process, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the ride.
Height Requirement
There is no height requirement for TriceraTop Spin, making it a perfect attraction for even the youngest park visitors.

Closing
UPDATE: The last day to experience TriceraTop Spin at Animal Kingdom is January 12th, 2025. Construction walls will be placed around the area on January 13th.
This ride will be closing in 2025 as DinoLand starts its transition into a Tropical Americas land called Pueblo Esperanza. This new Tropical Americas land will feature Encanto and Indiana Jones.
Walt Disney Imagineering is planning to reimagine DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park into a new land inspired by a region sometimes referred to as “tropical Americas.” As part of their research, Imagineers are looking at some of the most biodiverse areas on the planet in the regions just north and south of the equator in the Western Hemisphere – the northern part of South America, stretching up into Central America.
