The Java Cafe at Shades of Green is a great place to grab a quick breakfast on the run to the Disney World theme parks, or a snack upon your return.
The Java Cafe is located in the main lobby, right by the Front Desk.
They offer standard Starbucks drinks and snacks as well as ice cream treats and beer, wine and cocktails.
When facing the front desk turn around and you’ll see the Java Cafe, it’s impossible to miss.

For our family, in the morning I usually head to the lobby to get coffees and pastries while others are in the shower. Then we can all get fueled up while getting ready, then head right to the parks!

The #1 draw for SoG dining is a lower price. In exchange for a lower price, you get lower quality, especially at Mangino’s and Garden Gallery. The convenience of the Java and Express Cafe is wonderful, and you get great value. The friendliness and attentiveness of all dining staff are also great.

Do they really not open until 11:00? That seems late for a morning snack before heading to the parks. I haven’t stayed there since 2013, but back then the food options at SOG were not good. We tried all of them and have to say there are better options in an Army mess hall.

Well, I don’t open at all, this is an informational website run by a passionate Disney fan who is retired military.
But that was an error, they open at 6 a.m.
Is it possible to use a Starbucks gift card at this location? I have a few already and I was hoping to cut down my coffee costs by using them here.

I had to do some research on this one.
No, sadly they do not.
I. ordered a Carmel and strawberry Frappuccino with extra ice. Well, I received a strawberry and cream drink that tastes like medicine. I was then told they don’t make strawberry Frappuccinos after I received by drink. Well, the Carmel drink was something else and we wasted. 12.20 on 2 drinks that nothing like I ever tasted before.
The person could not understand English and did not know how to make a drink..
