Steve,
The CM I spoke to did not have the % rates you list for Resort Reservation. Only 25% for Deluxe for 2024.
Hi Nancy,
Thanks for letting everyone know.
As I mention in the post “They can vary between zero and 30% (Values), 35% (Moderates), and 40% Deluxe Resorts) (I’ve even seen slightly higher at times)” It just depends on your dates and other specifics
Have not seen those rates in years. Nothing about the discount posted on the Disney site.
Hi Nancy,
I’ve seen everything from 10 to 42% since they stopped stating the percentage.
see: disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/military-hotel-rates-2024/
Just called and got 25% off for a 1 bdr BR villa in May, so very curious as to what others get since that’s below even the value discount.
Awesome Allison,
Thanks for the intel!
I just called. The price I was quoted for AS Music was with a 12% discount. The price I was quoted for a studio at Boulder Ridge at Wilderness was 25%. You didn’t say which resort your 1BR villa was at, so it’s hard to say. But I know Copper Creek at Wilderness would have been several hundred more than BR. So even though they’re both at Wilderness, BR had a 25% discount and CC was significantly lower. As Steve always says, it all depends on the resort and the room. Disney’s going to give better discounts on the rooms that are harder to fill.
I did say BR for Boulder Ridge. I was looking to stay there specifically, not the lowest cost stay at any resort.
I also got only 25% off Beach Club Resort View Room for October. Grand Floridian, Poly, and Contemporary had no availability for the same dates. Yikes!
The Disney site doesn’t list those who are 100 percent Permanent Service-connected disability as eligible for the 2024 promotion. Has it been verified that it hasn’t changed?
Hi Emily,
No it has not changed as far as I know. That particular eligibility usually is not put on their site for some reason.
Park Hopper Tickets advertised at Navy ITT offices are much higher than what is stated on the Disney U.S. Military Members: Enjoy Specially Priced Theme Park Tickets in 2024 page.

For example: Disney states a 4-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket for 2024: $369 plus tax. Showing as $540 on the ITT Fort Worth Price List. Is it $171 in taxes?
Hi J,
You are looking at the prices for the Regular Military Disney Tickets (on page 5)!
On that PDF, dated Nov 6. look at the top right of page 4. The “Military Promotional” is the Salute.
There is no tax at military resellers. However some do add a small service charge or take a few dollars off with local MWR funds. I don’t see that on their price list though.
Steve,
I am a former, unmarried spouse who falls under 20/20/20 rule. I have a current ID card that shows “DoD Beneficiary” and on Form 1172-2 I am shown as a “Sponsor”. I understand I receive all of the same benefits as my retired, veteran spouse. However Disney advised that in order to get the Military Armed Forces Salute tickets(the more steep discount) my ID card must say spouse. However I am a former unmarried spouse:/Sponsor. What can I do to get these tickets. Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Sadly, Disney is correct. This is the one benefit you are not eligible for based on their rules. The unremarried applies to widows/widowers not divorces.
Disney states the SP/Spouse or DEC-DP (widows/widower) requirement for spouse IDs on their ID Guide image: https://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/disney-military-discount-id-guide/
Unfortunately you are limited to the Regular Disney Military Ticket Discount for Walt Disney World and Disneyland. See: https://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/disney-military-discounts/regular-disney-military-discount-for-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-tickets/ I think you are aware of these tickets from your comment.
The only way to use the Salute tickets would for your Ex to buy them against his limit from Shades of Green (which come pre-activated) for the kids and maybe you too.
Hi Steve!
I know we’ are allotted 6 tickets for military. Do you know if that is for one visit or split? I used 2 in January this year but want to buy 5 for my June trip. Is that allowed or is it only 6 in one calendar year?
Dawn
Hi Dawn,
The 6 ticket limit is for the offer period ( WDW – 1 January 2024 and runs through 20 Dec 2024 and DLR – 2 January 2024 and runs through 13 Dec 2024).
If you used 2 already, you have 4 left.
The remaining ticket for the June trip should be a Regular Disney Military Ticket Discount for Walt Disney World and Disneyland. And preferably purchased for a child #-9 as these are cheaper.
See: https://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/disney-military-discounts/regular-disney-military-discount-for-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-tickets/
Thank you!! That’s what I thought! My 5 are all adults in June lol.
