Walt Disney World is offering military discounts on WDW Memory Maker.
Disney’s Memory Maker
PhotoPass and Memory Maker are Disney’s two programs with witch you can have Disney’s professional photographers document your Disney World Vacation.
For 2023 Walt Disney World is offering their Memory Maker Service for a huge discount!
NOTE: Disneyland is not offering this discount for 2023.
Note to non-retired veterans; you do not qualify for the Disney Armed Forces Salute, however there are Disney Veteran Discounts that you do qualify for.
PhotoPass
Almost everywhere you go in the Disney theme parks, you’ll see Disney PhotoPass Photographers. They are stationed at all of the best, most scenic locations at which you can have your picture taken, for example in front of Cinderella Castle or with France and the Eifel Tower in the background at Epcot’s World Showcase.
They are also at some of the character meals (Chef Mickey’s, Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, Tusker House breakfast, ‘Ohana breakfast, 1900 Park Fare, and Spirit of Aloha dinner show), and at Character Meet and Greets.
Many thrill rides also have automatic cameras to capture your reactions to the most thrilling part of the ride in photo or video form.
Taking the photos is a free service, you can decide later if you want to purchase the photos. Just have your Magic Band or park ticket scanned to identify who you are and get your picture taken.
You can then review your photos online using your My Disney Experience account or the PhotoPass/Memory Maker sites.
As mentioned many Disney theme park rides snap photos of you at exciting moments, such as plunging down a hill. Those wearing magic bands don’t need to do a thing, your pics will end up in your PhotoPass account. Those without Magic Bands can scan their ticket to claim the pictures as theirs.
If you take part in any of the Run Disney events the race photos are included with the Memory Maker also. Instructions to link your race number to your Memory Maker account can be found on the back of your race bib.
How purchasing pictures works
Disney has two different sales systems for purchasing these pictures, PhotoPass and Memory Maker.
The two systems work exactly the same when you are on vacation, the difference is that Memory Maker is a prepaid package, while PhotoPass is an a la carte, pay by the picture after the fact system.
At Disney World, Memory Maker, normally costs $169 for the package if you order at least 3 days before your vacation (or $169 within 3 days). For this price you’ll receive unlimited digital downloads of all the pictures that you had taken on your vacation for up to 45 days afterwards, a CD backup can be purchased for an extra fee. (general public prices)
Pay As You Go
With PhotoPass you can download any of the pictures that you select, which were taken of you on your vacation. You’ll pay $14.95 each photo though.
Using PhotoPass/Memory Maker in the parks
It is so easy!
When you see a Disney Photographer, just hand him your ticket or hav them scan your Magic Band. That’s it! Soon after they take the picture it will be available online in your My Disney Experience account. Photos at character meet and greets or breakfasts work the same way.
For rides that have a photo or video, you will see a kiosk at the exit where you can preview the image. Those without Magic Bands will have to hold their ticket up to the scanner to claim their image. Magic Band wearers don’t need to do anything, the ride knows what ride vehicle you were in and will put the image into your account.

My question is…so I can properly inform my clients, is MM normally has to be purchased 3 days before so their first day of their trip can be included….buying it at GS when you arrive means their first day maybe two, will not be included in the MM… Correct???
Hi Cat,
The 3 day prior is only to get the “regular” discounted rate ($149). You can but at any time after the 3 day prior cutoff at the full rate ($199).
So while they do not explicitly say so, this should be good to go right after purchase.
Hmmm ok ,I may call GS to double ck because I dont want clients disappointed if they, Disney, follow the “reg” discount rules & people miss out on something….know what I mean?
I’ve seen a post on my Facebook post that said they called GS and it does start immediately
Awesome thank you!!!
We’ve always purchased our Memory Maker at Guest Services., both at Magic Kingdom and at Disney Springs. We’ve never had a problem with it not being ready to go when we needed it.
When purchasing the Memory maker at disney for $84, do you then have to wait 3 days for it to begin?? I am arriving on Dec 30, and going to be at disney the 31st-5th; I definantly want the memory maker but do not want to wait to the 1st to purchase if it will not work for 3 days after
Hi Elizabeth,
You do not need to wait. The 3 day wait is only for the regular pre-purchase on the general public price.
Does one mm pass work for your entire party (total of 6 of us) or do have to purchase more than one mm pass? And is the photo pass the same thing? Sorry, first time using this! Thank you
Hi Alicia,
At WDW, The Memory Maker or PhotoPass works for every Magic Band and or ticket that is linked to the My Disney Experience account that it linked to.
At WDW PhotoPass is the pay per picture option (after the fact), Memory Maker is the Per-Pay option.
At Disneyland, PhotoPass+ (note the plus sign) is their version of WDW’s Memory Maker (until a couple years ago Memory Maker used to be called PhotoPass+ at WDW too). Here PhotoPass hand out cards when a picture is taken or will scan cards you already have (the smart phone app can also be used) then you link as many of these to your PhotoPass+ account.
So only one purchase needed per group.
Thank you, Steve! That helps me a lot. One other question just for clarification on the Salute tickets, when you purchase the tickets, you can give them to friends or family to use, it doesn’t have to be immediate family living with you, is that correct? We have grown children and grandchildren. I’ve read a couple of conflicting things. Thank you so much!
Sure Alicia,
One ticket must be used by the member or spouse. The rest may be used by anyone else. The member or spouse must accompany their guests for the activation process though. You can not give them to people to go without you.
See: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/disney-military-discounts/how-to-activate-your-disney-armed-forces-salute-theme-park-tickets/
Thank you so much! You have cleared up my questions! I hope that’s all!
Does this discount apply to 100% disabled veterans and their families?
Hi Diane,
Yes it does, with the 100% DAVPRM code on a military ID.
Hello, and thank you for the great info as always. If we wait and purchase PhotoPass+ in the park (Disneyland) to get the military discount, can it be linked somehow to photos that may have already been taken earlier that day? If so, how?
Hi Kristine,
Yes when you purchase you can download all photos linked to your account.
From Disneyland.com: “The Disney PhotoPass Collection includes digital downloads of all available PhotoPass photos linked to your account.”
Had some difficulty finding where to purchase the memory maker at Disney World. Turns out they will only sell them with military discount at customer relations (we were at Hollywood Studios, I am only guessing it’s the same for the rest of the parks). When we finally were sent to customer relations, they helped us out no problem and we were able to start taking photos right away. What a great discount! We loved all the photos!
Thanks for the intel Bre!
Is Customer Relations the window where we turn into our Salute tickets? Want to make sure we’re fully prepared when we arrive!
Hi Emily,
Guest Relations windows are sometimes located with the ticket windows, but always located to the far sides and labeled Guest Relations. Other times they are by themselves (like the ones at the Magic Kingdom Entrance where there are no ticket windows) or in the parks themselves. Always labeled Guest Relations though.
We normally go to a place in Disney Springs the day we arrive at disney world to get our tickets activated. Not sure if it is considered guest relations?
When I called to book our resort 2 weeks ago I was told the only place to purchase the military discounted memory maker is at the ticket counters at the front of each park. Is there a list of locations yet on where you are able to purchase the discounted memory maker?
Thanks
Hi Ashley,
While the Disney Springs locations you are referring to are Guest Services, Disney’s site says “The discounted Memory Maker product can only be purchased at Walt Disney World theme park ticket windows.”
Ans while the ticket window part has now been shifted to Guest Relations, I don’t know if non-theme park GR sell the military discounted plan. If you are going there anyway, give it a try and please report back!!!
We’re going to WDW for the first time in September. I have been to Disneyland numerous times and there are guest service windows outside of the park entrance. Is it the same at WDW? We’re staying at Shades of Green and I was hoping I’d be able to purchase Memory Maker the day before we actually go into the parks. We will not have a car so we’d be using the Shades of Green bus to get to the parks.
Thanks for your help! 🙂
Hi Amber,
Yes Guest services and Ticket windows are located outside the parks.
Unlike DLR, WDW’s parks are quite far apart and each has Ticket and GR windows, plus there is the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).
The Shades bus will drop you at the TTC for the Magic Kingdom and Epcot you can buy it there (about a 6 minute ride or 15 min walk). You could also walk to the Polynesian (10 min walk) and take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and buy there. The buses for Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios drop you at the park entrance where you can get it (longer rides).
You can also purchase at the Disney Springs Guest Relations locations (WDW’s much larger Downtown Disney).
Thanks for such a quick and detailed response, Steve! I looked up a transportation map for WDW, it looks pretty intense, especially compared to DLR! I love your page. I’ve been able to find an answer for all my questions here through something you’ve already posted! 🙂
Awesome Amber, glad to have helped!
I, on the other hand was surprised by how compact DLR is, After many years of going to WDW only.
I have been looking for this information on your site but haven’t come across it yet. The new “MaxPass” option that Disneyland will be rolling out . . . . . can it be added to Military Salute tickets? I am interested in using it for the photo option and FastPass option. Would you purchase the add-on when you purchase your tickets?
Hi Jordana,
The Disney Armed Forces Salute has always been just as advertised and never eligible for any of the add ons or extras (permanent or transient) that Disney offers the general public. I do not expect this to be any different.
And from what I’ve read MaxPass won’t be a ticket add-on, rather an additional purchase.
Disney has always felt and stated it to me that what they are offering the military community is huge and that they are not at all inclined to offer discounts on food, parking, merchandise, or extras.
Thanks for the response. You always have good information!
You bet! Thanks!
If I’m getting a discount on the resort room, can I also get the memory maker discount?
Yes you sure can Julia
Steve,
After speaking with Disney directly, Memory Maker needs 3 days to process so you will not get your first 3 days of memories if you purchase at the discounted rate at the gate. They have also informed me that they only offer this at guest services. Not sure whom to believe.
Hi there Darcy,
Thanks for posting. Guess what they also told another reader (who emailed me) today that there was no such program…
The info you were given is incorrect, people have already used this discount successfully starting immediately.
The knowledge level of Disney’s phone center personnel is simply awful.f you want to know just how bad their phone, email, and internet chat “help” is see: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/Tips/Disneys-Call-Center-Very-Often-Wrong-On-Military-Discounts.html
We bought our Memory Maker on Sunday from Guest Relations (thanks for the great tip) and began using it right away. The person at Guest Relations (where we were doing the ticket activation) was very knowledgable and helpful…and the pictures were awesome!
Awesome Dinsmore,
Thanks of rate intel!!!
Hi Steve,
My father is retired military and we are using his fabulous benefits. I have two questions: 1.) We are staying at SOG and it has been confirmed we can NOT purchase memory maker here, before we hit the parks? Only at Guest Relations window, Correct? 2.) If my father is the one able to get the military discount, will Disney allow me to be the PRIMARY holder of memory maker? He will be with me when we purchase, I just would like to have the main account rights/control. Because lets face it, I am a bit more tech savvy 😉
Hi Tiffani,
Yes, Shades has nothing to do with Memory Maker purchases, military or otherwise. Correct, only GR windows.
I think it will be no problem for them to just link it to your account as long as you accompany him. LOL I know what you mean!
Hi!
So I am interested in buying the memory maker pass the first week of April with the military discount. My plan is to buy at the gate but I just wanted to make sure if I buy the pass it will also include my the other (2) people with me. Also is it $98 per day or for the total time you are there?
Hi Devonne,
It is $98 total. About your friends, Disney says “Each Memory Maker Guest will have the ability to view and download or unlock unexpired shared photos and other digital content from up to 25 members on his/her Family & Friends list during his/her Memory Maker window.”
You’ll need to add each other as family and friends in you My Disney Experience account if you are not all on yours.
The person at the sales window can walk you through everything.
Hi, Steve!
The $84 military Memory Maker purchases will have tax added, since they are purchased directly from Disney, is that correct?
Also, in your description of the discount, you mention that without the military discount, MM is $149 at least three days in advance, or $199 within 3 days. The correct price for the latter is $169. Not important for military folks, but I know you want it to be correct!
Thanks!
That is correct Sue Good catch on the tax and price, I’ll fix it.
Ours was a flat $84 when purchased this week.
I’m going to Disneyland next week and I just looked at their website and it lists the PhotoPass+ for $78, which is the price you have here. Is there a discount beyond that for military or should I just go ahead and purchase it now via their website? Thanks! Your website has been a huge help.
Hi Erin,
The Disneyland military discounted product is the Disney PhotoPass Collection Product, not the basic one you are looking a online. the “Collection Product” can only be purchased in person and includes the extras mentioned in this post
The Disneyland PhotoPass Collection product includes:
Digital downloads of all Disney PhotoPass photos in your account at time of redemption
A voucher for a Dining Print Package (Voucher may not be redeemed online. See voucher for restrictions.)
A Disneyland Resort Gallery Disc, featuring more than 350 high-resolution professional photos from around Disneyland Resort
If you are not interested in the extras, just get the basic ahead of time.
Do we know if we can purchase the military discounted memory maker at the ticket office in Disney Springs, where you can get your Salute tickets activeted? Also does anyone know the total w/ tax? Or is it just $84 total?
Hi Jennifer,
As noted in the post there will be tax added and you have to purchase at the theme park entrances.
Take care
I am at wdw now and was able to purchase the military rate memory maker photo package at the Disney Springs guest relations station prior to going to the parks. I highly recommend exchanging your vouchers for tickets and getting the memory maker package at Disney springs the day prior to your first park to avoid the long lines at park opening.
Awesome Dan,
Thanks so much for the Intel.
Just purchased the memory maker at the military rate 2 days into our trip and it unlocked every photo taken since we started! Best damn deal!
Awesome Eric!!! Thanks for the report.
Thanks for all of the great info. So does that mean that you can buy the discounted Memory Maker at any time during your trip and it will retroactively cover your whole trip’s pictures?
Also, do you know if you can buy it at the ticket/guest relations windows at the Transportation & Ticket Center?
Thanks!
Hi Mike,
Yes, I’ve heard from several people who purchased a couple days into their vacation and it covered all photos. One even said it covered all her photos ever (back years).
You “should” be able to buy at the TTC. But early on I heard that only Guest relations windows, not ticket windows were selling it.
OK, thanks! For some reason I had thought they had a guest relations window at the TTC. I know this question was raised before, but I didn’t see an answer – has anyone been able to confirm how late the TTC ticket windows stay open? We’ll be arriving the night before and I want to activate our military passes then. We will likely take care of the Memory Maker then as well.
The hours are typically 9am – 7 pm at the TTC
Hi Steve,
Do you know if this covers just the trip you are on or will it cover any trips made within the Salute offer period (Jan. to Dec. 19)?
Hi Renee,
It is a 30 day window that the service is active, not for the whole Salute offer period.
I can’t find the number to contact the Armed Forces Salutes Disney Resort Room availability anywhere??
Just call the regular Disney phone numbers Lindsey. There is no special number.
WDW – (407) 939-1936
DLR – (714) 781-4636
General FYI, I activated our AFS tickets & purchased the Memory Maker at the MK Guest Relations window today. I was charged $84 flat. No tax, it doesn’t appear on the receipt either.
Great info, thanks Nikki!
Disney has recently increased the Memory Maker price. Does this affect the Disney discount? Also, which Guest Relations windows outside the parks sell Memory Maker and activate Salute tickets?
Hi Dawn,
No change to the price!
You can purchase at DIsney Springs GR or any theme park location. Same for ticket activation.
We purchased the military discounted memory maker at the ticket window in Disney world at animal kingdom on June 8th and the price was $84 total (no additional tax). We did have to go through bag check before heading to the ticket window. We had to provide military ID and give the location of the base we are assigned to. Hope this info helps with questions of price increase and where you can purchase it.
Thanks for the on scene Intel Ashley!!!
I am sending the kids (9 and 11 years old) to Disney World without me (they are going with family members). They will have their military IDs. Will they be able to purchase the Memory Maker deal? I would love to get the photos from their trip without having to pay the $169 price tag!
Hi Danielle,
All other offers direct from Disney are limited to the member or spouse. Without having heard otherwise from Disney about non-spouse dependents I think that they are not eligible. But they could definitely try, but if it doesn’t work they’ll pay the higher (within 3 days) regular price.
We are going to WDW as a family group next month, there are 13 of us. My father-in-law is the elligible member. We are all linked on the My Disney Experience App. Does it matter who scans their bands when pictures are taken throughout the parks, will all photos be included in the Memory Maker? We purchased once before as a family and there were times we were separated for pictures and all photos did not appear in the memory maker.
Hi Keren,
You should be able to use any Magic Band that you want. The bands either need to be linked to your My Disney Experience account, or be linked to someone else’s account that you have connected to yours.
My daughter and SIL’s account is linked to mine and we see each others pictures.
Here is a Disney faq on the topic: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/memory-maker/photo-viewing/
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/memory-maker/photo-viewing/
We arrive on a Sunday, first park day Monday. Can I go to one of the park windows on Sunday when I arrive, without activating my tickets, and purchase the Memory Maker? We have an early dining reservation on Monday and might not have time to get it on way into the park. I was thinking this way I could have it all in place when we started out on Monday.
Hi Patti,
You did not specify where you want to do this. At Walt Disney World you can, at Disneyland you cannot. At Disneyland you activate the Salute tickets during first use.
Oh sorry!! Disney World! I think from reading a bit more I can stop in Disney Springs Sunday evening on arrival and get the memory maker and activate tickets. Correct? That will save time come Monday am!! thanks!!
Absolutely!
You need to make sure and read the fine print. You need to be active military or be retired with 30 yrs. Service. My husband is retired but didn’t serve 30 yrs. So we were very disappointed and had to even pay the full non early purchase price (nearly $200.) If you have served your country for any period of time, I feel that should count. Very disappointed!
Hi there Julie,
You seem to be a little confused. Nowhere does the eligibility for this or any other offer mention a required number of years of service (you would of course have to have served 20 to retire normally).
*”Eligible Service Members” are active or retired members of the U.S. military, including the National Guard, Reservists, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Valid military identification required for purchase. Spouses of military service members also qualify if they are able to present valid and active U.S. military IDs in the absence of military personnel.*
We have active and retired military in our party so we are good to go!
My husband always uses his American Legion membership card to receive various military discounts. To be a member with the Legion you have to have served during war time, making you a veteran. We were very disappointed that his service was not acceptable for this discount.
Hi Julie,
I’m sorry, but this is not a “veteran” discount, it is a discount for current and retired military members.
It is wonderful that some businesses offer a discount based on his membership in a non-government, private organization.
Hi ,
I’m wondering whether I can use the Maxpass with my military salute ticket? If so, how do I do this?
Hi Kathy,
I have heard reports that you can add MaxPass to your Salute ticket, but doing so prevents you from getting the military discount on PhotoPass if that is a concern to you.
Is there a Guest Relations location inside Magic Kingdom that you can purchase the Memory Maker with Military Discount? Inside City Hall?
Hi Erin,
Yes you can buy it there.
I just chatted with a Disney cast member and they said that the discounted Memory Maker is only available for purchase at the ticket windows outside of the parks.
Hi Erin,
Sorry, I was confused. You said Magic Kingdom, which is at Walt Disney World in Florida.
At the Disneyland Park (part of the Disneyland Resort with Disney’s California Adventure) you’ll need to purchase outside the parks at the ticket booths in the Esplanade.
Yes, I did mean Walt Disney World. The cast member said that you could not purchase Memory Maker at City Hall inside the Magic Kingdom or anywhere inside the park. The discounted Memory Maker is only available for purchase at ticket windows outside any of the 4 parks or the TTA.
Oops, sorry Erin. I was answering too many comments all at once.
I just caution you to take anything someone from Disney tells you long distance with a grain of salt. They are often quite wrong about military discounts IN the resorts from their call centers in Tampa and Memphis.
I have had reports of military members buying the memory maker at guest relations locations.
See: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/Tips/Disneys-Call-Center-Very-Often-Wrong-On-Military-Discounts.html
My dad is retired military but he will not be joining us in the parks due to a recent back injury/brace. Can he purchase the discounted memory maker and transfer to my Disney experience even if he’s not going to the parks?
Hi Kristina,
He can purchase (in person) the Memory Maker and link to his MDE for you all to share, or you could go with him and explain that you are the “tech person” and want it linked to yours.
Even if he doesn’t have a park ticket?
Yes, the two are not dependent on each other.
Are veterans that are partially disabled (less than 100%) eligible for any discounts? Thanks!
Hi Kim,
Thanks for checking out the site!
There are no discounts available directly from Disney for non-retired veterans who ate not 100% DAVPRM.
There is the this one discount available for non-retired veterans which is from Shades of Green. It is only for the months of January and September. Here is my post with details including what documentation is required: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/Shades-of-Green/Non-Retired-Veterans.html
Hi, Steve!
If I’m understanding correctly, I can purchase Max Pass for $10/day per person, which comes with Memory Maker… so there wouldn’t be a need to then also buy the military discount Memory Maker for $49? Salute tix can also purchase Max Pass, correct? Thanks!
Yes correct on all points Danelle!
So – I live in FL – so I will take advantage of my salute 5 day tickets with 3 different stays at WDW resorts over a 4 month period. Would I need to buy a separate memory maker for each time? Thanks.
Hi Noreen,
Disney says this in their official info:
You can begin capturing photos as soon as you purchase Memory Maker. Once you download the first photo on MyDisneyPhotoPass.com or the My Disney Experience Mobile App—or otherwise redeem your Memory Maker purchase—you then have 30 days to capture more photos. Please remember to download your photos before they expire.
and
Disney PhotoPass photos, photos from select dining locations, photos from select attractions and any other media in your account are subject to the Disney PhotoPass Expiration Policy and currently expire 45 days from the date the photo was taken.
So sounds like, at least 2 purchases depending on trip timing. You’d need 2 trips within the 45 day limit and to not download from the first right away.
Thanks for the great information. The rules mention that memory maker can only be purchased twice by each eligible service member and spouse. Is that twice for the salute period year (2 times in 2017 and 2 times in 2018) or twice ever?
Hi Rebekah,
That would be during 2 the 2018 offer period. Each Salute offer is a self contained separate offer.
Good day Steve,
Is the Memory Maker discount also available to Foreign partners/Coalition partners stationed at a US base with the CAC card with the blue line just as the Military Salute tickets are?
Thanks.
Hi there Alex,
I believe it is. They have their ID guide which features pictures of all the eligible CACs for the Salute. I think they would use that for the Memory maker too. The offers are on the same Disney Salute webpage.
Is the Memory Maker available for purchase by DoD Civilians or do I need to contact Shades of green to verify?
I have the same question.
No it is not, ladies. Though I have heard of it happening due to confusion about IDs (CACs) by those selling it.
we have a group of 7 going, including the military personell and her husband, the question is, if we get the Memory Maker, and we all happen to split up for parts of each day (6 day trip) does the soldier or her husband need to be with us in order for the pictures to be on Memory maker? im sure i am nto getting this across correctly…say if I an my other daughter head of to a shop and run across Mary Poppins, does the soldier need to be in the picture in order for it to be on her memory maker account?
Hi Shelley ,
If you are all linked as Friends and Family on the member’s My Disney Experience account you should be able to get any of the pictures using anyone’s band or ticket.
Hello. I am at Disney Springs today and learned that Photo Pass staff do NOT honor the Military Discount during the black out dates of the Disney Salute tickets. This was disappointing to say the least.
Thanks for the update!
In the past (June 2018) I was able to purchase the military discounted memory maker at Disney Springs in the Guest Relations Office. Can I still do this at Disney Springs or do I have to go to one of the park’s to do this now for March 2020???
Hi there,
This year, like the previous two years Disney World’s site states the only place that you can purchase MM with the discount is at the theme parks. But as we have found in the past, this like othere info Disney puts out online or via phone is not correct.
I have not yet had any intel reports one way or the other on this. But if I had to guess, I’d say you could. I’m sure the discount can be applied from any workstation.
Since the Memory Maker discount ends on 2/14/2021, does that mean there’s no military discount on it for guests arriving at Disney after that? Our trip is the beginning of May, so we can’t get a discount on the MM?
Currently there is not Peg.
We will have to see if Disney announces any follow-on offers as we move forward.
Our daughter is going to Disney with a friend. Is she not able to purchase the memory maker or photo pass with her military ID?
Hi Keri,
Disney’s rules on this discount explicitly say that the Memory Maker discount is for the “Eligible Service Members and their spouses.”
So your daughter would have to pay full price.
But, can’t hurt to try…
Hi, Steve. Any update if this is still being offered with the reopening of Disneyland? Their page only shows the general public price and nothing for military page loads since they have not reinstated Salute program there. Thanks!
HI Danelle,
No, sorry, none whatsoever. Sadly Disney will be silent until and if the release it.

Thanks, Steve. We went ahead and bought tickets last month since we will be out there and didn’t want to risk sell out by awaiting if Salute will happen. However, I wasn’t sure about Memory Maker. But, they do have a daily option right now that really is pretty similar so we will just buy that for pics. Thanks again!
is there any way to purchase the photo maker with military discount prior to coming to disney? online, or somewhere local?
Hi Rachel,
Sorry, no. Disney only does this in person.
Hi Steve thanks for your helpful newsletter. I was so proactive in getting ready for Disney, that I bought memory maker prior to realizing there was a military discount. If I go to guest services when I arrive, will they provide me a refund for the full price that I paid already relative to what the discount would have been?
Way to be on top of it Robin.
Thanks for the kind words!
I would definitely ask them to do so. It k=might require some dedication and asking for a manager.
Hi Steve, we are going to Disney World in two weeks and I’m a little confused on the Memory Maker process!
We are doing Hollywood Studios on our first park day; where in the park do we go to purchase the military discounted Memory Maker package? And it’s immediately available once we link it to the My Disney Experience app, right?
Thanks so much for your help!
Hi Devon,
Yes. it’s immediately available!
You should be able to purchase it just inside the park tot eh left at Guest Relations. If not there they can direct you.
Can you point me to where Memory Maker is priced at $149 for a pre-purchase?
Hi Erica
You can not pre-purchase with a military discount. You need to purchase after arrival as described in the post.
Hey Steve,
We just finished our trip and time got away from us and we forgot to purchase the memory maker. Is there still a way to do it even though we left Orlando?
Not that I’m awake of Jerod. They want to check your ID in person.
I’m a bit confused.. The current price for the public is $169 not $149 as listed on the website. So is the military rate that’s purchased at our first park $149 or $98? And does that rate cover our full stay of 5 days?
Thank you
Hi Judy,
Thanks, looks like WDW bumped up the general public price. The military price remains the same!
Yes it does.
Is there a Military Discount for the One Day Memory Maker or just the multi day memory maker?
Hi Ceslie,
No, just the one listed here
I’m a veteran military from Brazil, do I have a discount on memory maker?
No sorry.
I am standing at Guest Services in Disney Springs and am being told that my VA service connected disability (in my case 80%) card does not qualify for the discount for the Memory Maker. I am stunned. I would either need to be active duty, retired or 100% disabled…and today is Memorial Day.
Hi Barry,
Unfortunately that is correct. It is stated in the note at the top of this page (6th sentence).
VA cards, no matter the percentage are not valid for any Disney discount.
I’m sorry about your confusion.
