The Ambiance of Frontierland
Frontierland captivates with its depiction of the 19th-century American frontier, featuring wooden walkways, saloons, and a sense of adventure that permeates the air. The sounds of banjos and fiddles accompany guests as they wander through this land, immersing them in an era where the promise of new beginnings and the thrill of exploration were ever-present. The attention to detail in the theming transports visitors to a bygone era, offering a perfect blend of history, excitement, and Disney magic.

Walt Disney World Railroad – Ride on a real steam train on an approximately 20-minute journey around the Magic Kingdom. Your train returns to Frontierland after stops at Storybook Circus in Fantasyland and Main Street U.S.A. The four trains that run this loop were all built around the turn of the century in the U.S. In the 70’s Disney found them in Mexico and brought them home to be lovingly refurbished for the Magic Kingdom. Walt was a huge railroad fan. You can board or exit at any stop.

Frontierland Updates
Disney announced at the 2024 D23 that 2 new Cars attractions would be coming to Frontierland! It was stated that this area would be replacing an existing area.
It has now been revealed that this area will be called Piston Peak National Park.
One attraction will invite you on a thrilling rally race through the mountains. Take on wild terrain as you race across the landscape climbing mountain trails, dodging geysers and — Mater’s favorite — splashing through mudholes.
The second attraction will be geared towards smaller racers and will be fun for the whole family.
Get ready to start your engines! Work on this new space in Frontierland will begin in early 2025.
From this Disney concept image below the cars attractions will be replacing Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America.
