A vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired district offering stylish shopping, modern dining, and easy access from every Disney Springs arrival point.
Town Center blends beautiful architecture with great food, unique shops, and convenient transportation access—making it a perfect hub for military families exploring Disney Springs.
Location Within Disney Springs
Disney Springs is divided into 4 areas: The Marketplace, Town Center, The Landing, and The West Side.
Town Center sits at the southern edge of Disney Springs and functions as the primary gateway into the district. It lies south of The Landing, west of the Marketplace, and east of the West Side.
All other sections radiate outward from Town Center.
Transportation & Arrival
Disney World’s fleet of buses from its Resort Hotels drop passengers off at Town Center. Minnie Vans also have the ability to stop here (as well as other locations). All other modes of conercial transportation drop you off after the far eastern and far western ends of Disney Springs!
- Disney’s Disney Springs buses & Minnie Vans: Drop directly into Town Center, making it the easiest and most direct arrival point.
- Shades of Green Disney Springs buses: Drop at the West Side, making it a moderate walk to Town Center.
- Boat transportation: Docks are located outside the Marketplace. From the dock, Town Center is a moderate walk.
- Walking paths: Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has a walking path to Disney Springs, which enters at the far east end of the Marketplace. It’s a moderate walk from there to the Town Center.
- Ride-share: Drops you off at the Disney Springs ride-share zone, adjacent to the Marketplace, with a moderate walk to Town Center.
- Parking Garages: The Lime Garage is the closest, with its entrance in Town Center, and the Orange Garage is further, with its entrance in the West Side.
Look & Feel
Town Center is themed after a Mediterranean seaside village, with pastel stucco facades, palm-lined promenades, courtyards, fountains, and wide, airy walkways. It’s bright and open during the day and beautifully illuminated at night.
Because this is the main arrival zone, the area feels lively but never overwhelming. The wide paths and open plazas make it especially easy for strollers, mobility devices, and larger groups to move around comfortably.
Town Center represents the most modern side of Disney Springs—stylish, fresh, and welcoming.

History of Town Center
Town Center is the newest major district of Disney Springs, built almost entirely from scratch during the massive 2015–2016 transformation of Downtown Disney.
Pre-2015: Surface Parking Lots
Before Disney Springs existed, almost the entire Town Center footprint consisted of:
- flat surface parking lots
- the Downtown Disney Bus Station
- roadways and bus access paths
No restaurants, no shopping, and no themed areas existed here.
2015–2016: Disney Springs Reimagining
As Downtown Disney was reimagined into Disney Springs, Disney replaced the old surface parking lots with:
- the Orange and Lime parking garages
- new themed shopping and dining buildings
- expansive pedestrian plazas and walkways
- a reengineered bus loop and arrival experience
Town Center officially opened on May 15, 2016, becoming the stylish new entryway to the entire district.
Why Disney Created Town Center (and Expanded Disney Springs)
Disney built the expanded Disney Springs—and especially the Town Center district—to keep international tourists on Disney property. Disney leadership recognized that a growing number of foreign visitors were leaving the resort to shop along International Drive and other Orlando retail corridors. Town Center was intentionally designed with global brands, upscale shopping, and modern amenities to compete directly with these off-site destinations and retain guests within Walt Disney World.
2016–Present: Modern Lifestyle District
Since opening, Town Center has continued to grow into a vibrant lifestyle zone, offering:
- international retail brands
- fan-favorite quick-service restaurants
- beautiful plazas, fountains, and shaded areas
- seasonal decorations and photo opportunities
It represents the modern face of Disney Springs—upscale, refreshed, and welcoming.
Wrap-Up
Town Center is the perfect place to begin (or end) your Disney Springs visit. With convenient access from buses and parking garages, great quick-service dining, stylish shops, and beautiful theming, it’s an effortless and enjoyable stop for military families. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, shopping for souvenirs, or relaxing by the fountains, Town Center always feels welcoming and easy to explore.
