A New Snack Stand Has Quietly Appeared on Disney’s BoardWalk

There’s a relatively new place to grab a quick snack or drink along Disney’s BoardWalk, but you could easily walk right past it without giving it much thought.

In fact, I’ve done exactly that four or five times.

The small stand appeared in late 2025 in the former Funnel Cake Cart location. It doesn’t have a name posted anywhere that I’ve seen. There isn’t even a sign above the window—just menu boards telling you what it sells.

For this guide, I’m going to call it the BoardWalk Snack Stand.

I photographed the stand in February 2026 and walked past it again during our June visit. I haven’t actually purchased anything here, but most of the food consists of familiar Disney snacks I’ve eaten many times elsewhere.

Quick answer: The BoardWalk Snack Stand is a convenient place to grab a Mickey pretzel, popcorn, ice cream, beer, or packaged cocktail while enjoying Disney’s BoardWalk and Crescent Lake. I wouldn’t make a special trip for it, but that’s really not the point. This stand is useful because you’re already walking the BoardWalk.

Location

The BoardWalk Snack Stand is located on the water side of Disney’s BoardWalk, directly across the promenade from Screen Door General Store.

If you’re coming down from Disney’s BoardWalk Inn toward Crescent Lake, turn left when you reach the BoardWalk. The stand is along the water on that side of the promenade.

It’s a small permanent building similar in scale to some of the other walk-up locations along the BoardWalk, rather than a movable food cart.

Does the BoardWalk Snack Stand Have a Name?

Not that I’ve found.

There is no identifying sign on the building other than its menu, and Disney doesn’t currently appear to give the operating location a clear guest-facing name.

Other Disney sites have referred to it descriptively as the BoardWalk Snack Stand or BoardWalk Snack Kiosk.

We’re using BoardWalk Snack Stand simply because we need something to call it. It should not be confused with an official Disney location name.

What Happened to the Funnel Cake Cart?

This location can be confusing if you’re using Disney’s online map.

As of August 2026, Disney’s interactive map still identifies a Funnel Cake Cart at this location and lists it as temporarily unavailable.

What you’ll actually find here is this permanent snack stand, and funnel cakes aren’t on its current menu.

So if you’re standing on the BoardWalk looking for funnel cakes based on the map, don’t assume this is the same operation simply because it’s occupying that location.

What’s on the Menu?

The food menu is primarily familiar Disney snack food rather than anything substantial enough to consider a meal.

Bottled beverages and DASANI bottled water are also available.

Saltwater Taffy Popcorn Is the Most Unusual Snack

If there’s one food item that distinguishes this stand from other Disney snack locations, it’s probably the Saltwater Taffy Popcorn.

The menu identifies it as exclusive to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

I haven’t tried it, so I can’t tell you whether it’s worth choosing over the other popcorn flavors. The popcorn sold here is prepackaged rather than being freshly popped at the stand.

Still, if you’re looking for something specific to the BoardWalk rather than another snack you can find elsewhere at Walt Disney World, this is the item that stands out.

Most of the Food Is Familiar Disney Snack Fare

The rest of the menu doesn’t require much explanation if you’ve spent time at Walt Disney World.

I’ve had the standard Disney snacks sold here at other locations many times over the years.

Of the choices on this menu, I’d be most likely to grab a Mickey pretzel, Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar, or Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich.

The advantage isn’t that this stand has reinvented any of those snacks. It’s that you can get them without entering a theme park or walking into one of the BoardWalk’s other dining locations.

The Drink Selection Is More Interesting Than You Might Expect

For such a small stand, the alcoholic beverage selection is surprisingly broad.

Current choices include:

• Bud Light Lager – $9.75
• Michelob Ultra Lager – $10.25
• Cigar City Jai Alai IPA – $12.50
• High Noon Pineapple Vodka Hard Seltzer – $12.75
• Social Hour Sunkissed Fizz – $13.25
• Social Hour Whiskey Mule – $13.25
• RAMONA Wine Spritz – $11.75
• Copa di Vino Chardonnay, Moscato, or Cabernet Sauvignon – $12

The Sunkissed Fizz combines vodka, yuzu, peach, key lime, and jasmine, while the Whiskey Mule uses Ragtime Rye Whiskey and ginger beer.

The RAMONA Wine Spritz is available in Blood Orange, Dry Ruby Grapefruit, or Meyer Lemon.

The beers are familiar choices, and I’ve had good experiences with High Noon products elsewhere.

I’ve also tried Copa di Vino before, and that’s one I personally wouldn’t recommend.

More importantly, the selection gives you an easy way to grab a packaged drink without committing to a bar or lounge.

There Is No Dedicated Seating

The stand doesn’t have its own tables or chairs.

There are benches periodically along this side of the BoardWalk, and if you head in the other direction, you’ll find considerably more outdoor tables and benches.

But this is really a grab-and-go location.

That’s not necessarily a disadvantage. One of the best things about Disney’s BoardWalk is simply finding somewhere outside to sit with a snack or drink while enjoying Crescent Lake and everything happening around you.

Don’t Expect Much of a Line

I’ve passed this stand four or five times since it opened, and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone waiting at the service window.

When I photographed it at about 5 p.m. in February 2026, it was open and operating.

I haven’t seen operating hours posted at the location, so I wouldn’t build an important meal or snack plan around a specific opening time.

But when it’s open, this appears to be about as close to walk-up service as you can get.

When Does the BoardWalk Snack Stand Make Sense?

I see this stand as a convenience stop rather than a destination.

It makes the most sense when you’re already:

• Staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn or BoardWalk Villas
• Walking between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• Exploring the Crescent Lake resorts
• Spending an evening strolling Disney’s BoardWalk
• Looking for a quick beer or packaged cocktail without sitting at a bar
• Looking for a snack and somewhere outside to enjoy the BoardWalk atmosphere

The last one may be my favorite use.

Grab a Mickey pretzel and a drink, find a comfortable place outside, and enjoy the view across Crescent Lake.

If the BoardWalk performers are out, you’ve got some entertainment too!

Would I Choose It Over the Other BoardWalk Food Locations?

Probably not.

I’ve walked past this stand four or five times without stopping, and that says something about where it fits among the BoardWalk’s other options.

If I want something more substantial, there are better choices. If I’m specifically looking for ice cream, a corn dog, bakery items, or a more interesting drink experience, the BoardWalk has locations devoted to those things.

But that’s not really a criticism of this stand.

Its purpose is convenience.

Don’t walk to the BoardWalk for this stand. Use this stand because you’re already walking the BoardWalk.

Bottom Line

The new BoardWalk Snack Stand isn’t a location I’d make a special trip to visit.

And that’s okay.

It fills a simple role along Disney’s BoardWalk: familiar snacks and a surprisingly varied selection of packaged alcoholic drinks served from a convenient walk-up window.

The exclusive Saltwater Taffy Popcorn gives it one item you won’t find everywhere, but otherwise this is primarily about convenience.

If you’re walking by and want a Mickey pretzel, ice cream, popcorn, beer, or cocktail to enjoy outside along Crescent Lake, take a look at the menu.

Then find a seat, enjoy the BoardWalk, and watch the world go by.
