Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk Resort represents Atlantic City (before the casinos) and the East Coast in general from the 1930s era.
Note: This Walt Disney World Resort has a co-located DVC section.
Behind the resort buildings is an actual BoardWalk like the famous one in Atlantic City. Along it you’ll find restaurants, shops, and clubs. During the evening street performers will be on hand to entertain you.
The BoardWalk and other resorts in the area are conveniently located between Epcot’s World Showcase and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Both are accessible by walking or Disney watercraft.
The BoardWalk Villas, a Disney Vacation Club property is collocated with the BoardWalk Resort and they share all facilities.
There is also a Convention Center located at this resort.

Transportation
Bus transportation is available to all Disney World guest areas except Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Boat Transportation to: Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resorts, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, Epcot’s International Gateway, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The BoardWalk is walking distance to Epcot’s International Gateway and Hollywood Studios just a little farther in the opposite direction.
At Epcot’s International Gateway you can board the Disney Skyliner for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation Resorts.
You should be aware that after boarding the Skyliner here, you will have to get off at the Caribbean Beach Station and get into a long line to board the route going to Hollywood Studios.
You can also walk to Epcot’s International Gateway (0.25 mi) and Hollywood Studios (1.15 mi) from the Swan and Dolphin.
Parking Fees
Overnight Parking is $25.00 per night at the Disney World Deluxes. Note this charge is initiated for all nights of your stay either by telling the front desk that you have a vehicle when checking in or by using your room key/Magic Band to enter the parking lot. If you will not be parking every night (say you have a rental car for just a dat or so) coordinate this with the front desk.
Valet service is $33 per night (sales tax included). Note: due to ongoing staffing shortages, valet service is only available to those with a valid disability parking permit.
Our Thoughts
MDT Favorite |
This Disney Resort Hotel is a Military Disney Tips Favorite Resort! |
BoardWalk is our second favorite Epcot Deluxe Resort. The walk is just a little longer than that at the Beach Club (our favorite) and reservations with a Disney Armed Forces Salute Discount seem to be less available here.
We love walking along the boardwalk especially in the evening when the “street” performers are out.
