Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s BoardWalk is one of those places that’s easy to overlook—but shouldn’t be.
Tucked between Flying Fish and AbracadaBar on Disney’s BoardWalk, this small kiosk has developed quite a following thanks to its hand-dipped corn dogs and creative specialty offerings.
I’ve stopped here a few times now, and while I don’t think most guests should make a special trip across Walt Disney World just for a corn dog, I do think it’s one of the better quick-service stops around Crescent Lake.
If you’re staying at one of the nearby resorts, spending an evening on the BoardWalk, or leaving EPCOT through International Gateway, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is well worth considering.
Location
📍 Disney’s BoardWalk Dining and Entertainment Area
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is located on Disney’s BoardWalk, near AbracadaBar and Flying Fish.
It is right on the BoardWalk promenade, making it an easy stop if you are staying at or visiting one of the Crescent Lake Resorts or the BoardWalk itself.
It is especially convenient for guests staying at:
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Walt Disney World Swan, Swan Reserve, or Dolphin Hotels
It is also walkable from EPCOT’s International Gateway. I would not tell most guests to leave EPCOT just for this unless they are serious corn dog fans or nothing inside EPCOT sounds good.
What’s on the Menu?
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs focuses on a small menu of hand-dipped corn dogs rather than trying to offer something for everyone. Every item is cooked fresh after you order, which is why you’ll usually wait a few minutes before your food is ready.
- Classic Dog – A traditional hand-dipped beef corn dog.
- Golden Dragon – A beef hot dog topped with panko crumbs, teriyaki sauce, spicy mayo, and seaweed seasoning.
- Mexican Street Dog – Inspired by Mexican street corn with cotija cheese, corn, and seasoning.
- Giant Mozzarella Stick – A large hand-dipped mozzarella stick instead of a hot dog.
- Pickle Dog – A dill pickle wrapped around a beef hot dog before it is battered and fried.
- Kids Dog – A smaller classic corn dog for younger guests.
Specialty items occasionally rotate onto the menu as well.
How Was the Food?
The corn dogs I’ve ordered here have all been excellent.
They are larger than the average theme park corn dog, and the batter is what really sets them apart. It fries up crisp without feeling heavy and has just enough sweetness to complement the hot dog.
Not everything has been a winner, though.
Tracy and I tried one of the limited-time fried Hawaiian roll specials during one visit, and it was one of the few Disney snacks we’ve ever thrown away. It was soggy with grease and tasted like the fryer oil needed to be changed.
I don’t think one disappointing special changes my opinion of Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs because every actual corn dog I’ve ordered has been very good. I’d simply stick with what they do best: the hand-dipped corn dogs.
Steve Says: I’d happily order another corn dog here. I’d think twice before ordering one of the experimental fried specials.
Steve’s Hot Dog Aficionado Tip: The hot dogs here, like almost everywhere else at Walt Disney World, are beef hot dogs. That’s sacrilege in my book! My ideal hot dog is pork. My hot dog has a first name… it’s O-S-C-A-R. If you’re with me on that one, Casey’s Corner still serves my favorite (pork) corn dog nuggets on property.
Is It Worth Leaving EPCOT For?
For most guests, I would not leave EPCOT just to eat at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs.
EPCOT has too many good food options to justify walking out of the park for a corn dog unless you really love corn dogs or nothing in the park sounds appealing at that moment.
That changes if you are already near the International Gateway, especially in the evening. From the back of EPCOT, the BoardWalk is an easy walk. If you are tired of festival booths, want something simple, or are heading out of the park anyway, Blue Ribbon becomes a much more reasonable stop.
In other words, I would not build my EPCOT day around it.
But I would consider it as part of a relaxed BoardWalk evening.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is in the evening.
That is when the BoardWalk feels most alive, the lights are on, and the whole Crescent Lake area becomes one of the nicest places at Walt Disney World to wander without a tight schedule.
This is a great stop if you are staying nearby, visiting the BoardWalk after dinner, leaving EPCOT through International Gateway, or spending a casual evening around Crescent Lake.
How Long Is the Wait?
In my experience, there are usually only a few people waiting to order, if anyone.
The wait comes after you order because the food is cooked fresh. Plan on waiting about 5 to 10 minutes for your order to be prepared.
That is exactly what you want with a corn dog, but do not expect to walk up, pay, and have your food handed to you immediately.
Who Will Like Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs?
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is best for guests who want something fun, casual, and filling without sitting down for a full meal.
It is especially good for:
- Crescent Lake resort guests
- BoardWalk visitors
- Corn dog fans
- Families looking for an easy evening snack
- Guests leaving EPCOT through International Gateway
- People who want something different from typical Disney quick-service food
This is also a nice option if your family is splitting up food choices around the BoardWalk. One or two people can grab Blue Ribbon while others choose something else nearby.
Who Might Want to Skip It?
Skip Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs if you do not really like fried food, if you are looking for something light, or if you are deep inside EPCOT with plenty of food options around you.
I would also skip it if you are expecting a quiet sit-down meal. This is a kiosk. You order, wait, get your food, and find a place to eat nearby.
Final Thoughts
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is easy to recommend as long as your expectations match what it is.
I would not make a special trip from inside EPCOT just for a corn dog. But if you are spending an evening on the BoardWalk, staying at one of the Crescent Lake resorts, or simply craving a really good hand-dipped corn dog, it is worth the stop.
That is where Blue Ribbon shines: not as a destination restaurant, but as one of the BoardWalk’s best casual quick bites.
