Base Ticket Offices have been given the cutoff date for refunds of 2020 Disney Military Salute Ticket.
This is for Unused 2020 Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets that cannot be used by 26 Sept 2021.
If you purchased these highly discounted tickets prior to the Disney Parks closure and want to return them to your Base Ticket Office because you will be unable to use them before they expire, 7 September is the last day that you can do so. This notice was give to Air Force Ticket Offices but the same should apply to all services.
Note: Your Base may set an earlier date to give them time to process. My Base Ticket Office’s is 25 August.
Many Bases are offering refunds on these non-refundable tickets due to the unprecedented circumstances, while some are not.
Refusing to offer refunds, while incredibly wrong, is a local decision, not a national one. May bases are offering discounts.
If your base has refused, it is not because they were told not to. MDT suggests elevating their refusal to the local military commander that your ticket office falls under, e.g. the Base Services Commander on an Air Force Base.
This cut off is driven by the need to close out the fiscal year accounting.

Purchased Disney Salute tickets, unable to contact the base ticket office. Located at Fort Bliss Texas. I call daily. Any ideas….
They have a contact form on their site Monica. Many bases are working remotely.

If you purchased from SOG is there a cutoff for refunds? Or are they still offering them? I remember seeing you post some info towards the start of all this but now I am having a hard time finding that.. we are getting worried about being able to use our tickets with a child who can not wear a mask.
Hi Holly,
This is the most recent post on Shades facebook page re tickets.
“The Shades of Green Ticket office is available to assist guests with ticket inquiries by e-mail or phone.
For general attraction ticket questions please email us at [email protected]. For ticket orders/forms, please send your requests to [email protected].
You can also call us at (407) 824-1403 Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.
We are closed on Sundays. The Ticket Office is not open for walk-in guest at this time.”
This was poster in July before their re-opening.They are now open every day and for walk ins.
They did give a cutoff date way back, but the MWR office that actually buys the Disney tickets for all the others is the one that set the Sept deadline.
If Shades gets their tickets from that office in San Antonio rather than direct from Disney they should still be able to get you a refund.
Thank you Steve!
How do you obtain a refund if you purchased tickets at the shades of green?
Hi Denise,
You just contact them for the refund.
[email protected].
Could you provide the policy reference? I am “fighting” with the local office and I want to know what I am citing before I escalate to the base command element. The local office claims the Disney will not give them a refund so they in turn cannot issue any.
Thank you!
Hi Brian,
This came out in an email on or about 12 Aug from AFCTP to Air Force Ticket Offices. The same should apply to all services.
AFCTP is the central purchaser for AF Ticket Offices and they are definitely getting refunds from Disney.
Steve,
I have clients with 6 Armed Forces Salute tickets that expire this September 26. Can they be upgraded to the 2021 ticket that expire in December or do they need to get a refund and then rebuy new Armed Forces salute tickets? Same question for 6 regular military tickets that were purchased last year.
Hi Anita,
Yes, for WDW the 2020 tickets can be upgraded to 2021 with the 16 Dec expiration.

They may be able to do this over the phone (some have). If not they’ll have to do it after arrival.
No news for DLR though.
