Where Can You Purchase These Specially Priced Tickets?
- Direct From Walt Disney World:
- These special tickets must be purchased in person (with proper military ID) from Walt Disney World ticket or Guest Relations locations! They can not be pre-purchased over the phone or internet.
- From Shades of Green:
- You may also purchase these special tickets in person at Shades of Green’s Ticket Office
- Shades of Green will ship these tickets for a fee. You can email them at: [email protected] and they will email you the forms that you need to fill out.
NOTE: In years past, Disney World allowed the military community to purchase MNSSHP tickets in person after arrival for sold out nights. I’d negotiated this ability with Disney because at the time Shades of Green did not sell MNSSHP tickets and the military rate was only available in person, so military families would often find their desired date sold out before they could get there on vacation and buy their tickets.
This special treatment is no longer available! Frankly, I’d been expecting this for years. Once Shades of Green started selling long distance it was inevitable.
Non-Military Tickets can be ordered ahead of time by calling 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639), or visit disneyworld.com (Disney Vacation Club members must call Member Services.)
Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios Info

Hours: 7:00 pm – midnight
Note: While the published start time is 7 PM, you can get in as early as 4 PM with your MNSSHP ticket.

Hi Steve,
When will the military discount dates for the Christmas party be released??
Samantha see http://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/military-discounts/military-discount-prices-on-mickeys-very-merry-christmas-party/
We are going to be visiting Disneyworld from Oct 13-20. Are there any discounted nights for military for the not so scary Halloween party during that time. I spoke with Shades of Green and they stated they were not given any tickets for October.
Hi Nancy,
No sorry, WDW has never discounted October dates for the military. The discount is to fill lower attendance dates in Sept.
Hello! Are you aware if Disneyland takes part in the same promotion for their Halloween Party? Thank you!
Hi Andrew,
No, sorry. The Disneyland Company, actually a different separate company from the Walt Disney World Company under the Disney corporate umbrella has never offered a military discount on their Halloween party.
Are Veterans available for the discounted rates at the gate?
Hi Lee Ann,
No, I’m sorry non-retired members are not.
Hi,
Can I, as a spouse of a retired service member with my mil id, purchase the discounted party tickets at the gate? I know I can buy the salute tickets without him but I wasn’t sure about the party tickets and my sponsor won’t be with me this time. Thanks!
Yes you sure can Amanda, same eligibility rules.
Do you know, roughly, when you’ll be getting the prices for the MNSSHP for 2020? How long in advance do they release that information? Thanks
Hi Peggy,
Traditionally both MNSSHP and MVMCP military discounts have come out in May. But last year MNSSHP came out in February and MVMCP in April.
It usually takes a few weeks after they announce the party to pry the military info out of Disney.
I notice the prices for 2020 are up on the MyDisney site now, but I don’t know when they posted it. Do you have any news yet?
Sorry to nag you, but we’re down to the six month mark, and I need to budget & make ADRs.
Thanks
Hi Peg,
No, no news yet. It always takes a while for the military prices to become available. I will update this post as soon as I get the info.
Steve
Thank you!! Can’t wait!
With the shut down of Disney will they still be working on the military pricing for 2020? were about 3 weeks from out to being able to make reservations and plan our trip for Oct.
Hi Savanna,
Yes you can still work with Ears of Experience for your Disney Armed Forces Salute 2020 reservations or do it yourself.
But the military pricing and dates for MNSSHP isn’t available yet is it?
I have not seen it yet Savanna. It might be a while with all that’s going on.
I understand military prices for 2020 have not been released so I am just trying to use last years price as a guide line. Can you tell me how much the tickets were on opening night in Aug and for the 2nd week in Oct. in 2019. I would appreciate it very much
Hi Jeri,
Sure, 20 August 2019 – $64 adult/$59 child (3-9) – Regular advance purchase price through Disney $79/$74. And $103 adult/$98 child (3-9) – Regular advance purchase price through Disney $105/$100 All Oct.
As the price goes up the discount gets less.
Spoke with SOG, they stated they are not yet selling MNSSHP tickets and to call Disney. Does anyone have any updates? We were planning on getting them at the gate like we usually do. Thank you.
Hi Tiffani,
Disney hasn’t even decided if they’ll do the Halloween and Christmas parties yet. We’re still too soon in the re-opening to have any real details.
Only time will tell…
I asked because it’s showing up on their calendars. We called Disney after we posted this. They said they are trying to figure out the logistics and are hoping to still have MNSSHP. If they do, they assured us we could get military tickets at the gate or DS. Thank you.
Awesome, thanks Tiffani.
You can get the order form from Shades of Green without calling them for it (which is advised if you want to save a lot of time). Simply go onto their website and click on the Experiences page, then click on the Tickets and Attractions link. On the right side of the page there will be a Ticket Ordering link. Click on that then download the pdf form, fill it out, and email it to Shades of Green along with a copy of your military ID card. If you’re ordering before the tickets go on sale to the general public, you’ll also need to include a screen shot of your confirmed reservation at a Disney resort. They ask for a screen shot of your confirmation email from Disney, but I sent them a shot of my MyDisney My Plans page showing the resort reservation and date.
They’ll call you in a day or two, depending on how busy they are, to verify the information and get your payment information. They called me around 2:30 in the afternoon the next day, but I have waited a little longer in other years. A $15 fee will be added to the price if they’re shipping it your home. If you’ll pick the tickets up from Shades of Green, you don’t have to pay the fee that covers the cost of the FedEx shipment. Also know that you will need to be home to sign for the delivery. FedEx won’t leave it in your mailbox or on your doorstep.
Thanks Peg, thanks.
Yep, my link in this post to long distance ordering explains just what you related here. I’ve ever recommend calling (they don’t answer, you need to leave a message.
But, I also advise caution as the process is generally NOT as quick as you related. My last ticket purchase from Shades took 13 days from form upload to receipt. It took 9 days for them to call after I I sent the form.
The number you might have seen in this post is for Disney and regular priced tickets.
Do the MNSSHP tickets come already activated if bought from Shades of Green?
Hi Joe,
Activating tickets is something that only applied t Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets. All other Disney tickets come ready for use.
Is it possible to purchase the MNSSHP tickets for sold out dates this year?
Hi Monique,
I do not have any intel on that yet this year. I’ll see if I can get some intel.
Steve, I am also wondering this as we have planned a quick trip to Florida during that time and the only day we could go is on a sold out night.
Hey Brittney,
I’ve got an intel team going next week and they’ll be checking on this in person.
Great! Thanks!!!
I just tried tonight for next week and was turned away. I hope you have better luck. I would love a name if you get approval.
Steve, any update on your intel?
Hi Amy, I just got it last night.
Sorry. They are not selling for sold out nights to military!
The ticket windows are “happy to search for party tickets that were canceled or returned and went back into their system.” But no special treatment for military anymore.
Frankly, I’d been expecting this for years. Once Shades of Green started selling long distance it was inevitable. I set this up with WDW Media Relations back in 2021 before long distance ticket purchases were a thing, and Shades didn’t even offer the Party tickets back then, military ones had to be purchased at the gate and if it was sold out, too bad.
Thanks for checking! It seems the dates sold out early this year.
Hey Steve!
The CMs I spoke to tonight st MK stated they can no longer sell military tickets for sold out parties. I even spoke with a Coordinator that couldn’t do it. So get your tickets early, folks!
