Are there Military Discounts for the Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe?
This is a question that is on the minds of many in our U. S. military community!Â
As of late February 2025, Universal Orlando is offering a Military Freedom Pass One-Day-Add-On ticket for Epic Universe!
Then, in March 2025, they added this One-Day-Add-On feature to their Regular Military Discount Tickets
See:
- Universal Orlando Military Freedom Pass
- Universal Orlando One-Day Freedom Pass Add-On ticket for Epic Universe
- Universal Orlando One-Day Regular Military Ticket Add-On for Epic Universe
And I would not expect one for a year or two, maybe more.
Will There Be a 2026 Universal Orlando Freedom Pass?
Why Are Discounts Offered?
Discounts, military or otherwise, are offered to attract bodies. When attendance is projected to be too high, discounts are not offered (controlled by blockout dates or offer start/end dates at both Universal and Disney). When Harry Potter came to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure opened, Universal did not renew its special military highly discounted tickets for several years, until attendance normalized.
Prior to its announcement, I had been thinking that there was a possibility that no Freedom Pass would be offered this year.

So What Are The Options?
With no military option, that leaves the military community having to purchase general public tickets from Universal, either online ahead of time or in person after arrival.
Universal is not offering 1-day tickets for Epic Universe at this time, 2-day tickets are the shortest available.
What are the Prices?
Prices vary by day of first use. The 2-day Epic Universe only tickets will cost an adult between $253.47 (Sept 8-9, the cheapest 2-day periods in the year) and $370.62 (Christmas week), tax included in 2025 per adult (kids slightly cheaper).
To compare, their 2-day 4-park tickets are $324.83 to $438.78, tax included.
A Potential Ray of Light
Now, to caveat all the above…
Universal may provide military resellers (that is Base Ticket Offices) with their general public Epic Universe tickets to sell at some time at the list price (they have not at this time, although general public sales have already started).
If they do, you will get a small savings purchasing from your ticket office due to the lack of sales tax (which varies by State). For instance, if you purchased the adult 2-day Epic Universe only tickets I quoted above from Shades of Green or the Orlando ITT, they would be $242.00 to $ 348.00 instead of $253.47 to $370.62

Thanks for this article. I was just looking at an early DEC25 trip to Orlando. Can you clarify the comment above “To compare their 2-day 4-park tickets are $324.83 to $438.78 tax included.”? What are the four parks
Hi John,
Sure, the 4 Universal parks are (or will be); the first 3 are their current “3-parks.”
