Universal Orlando Resort Announces Its 2026 Military Freedom Pass – More Than a Year of Fun for One Low Price
Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced its 2026 Military Freedom Pass, and it’s another huge win for eligible U.S. military families.
The 2026 Freedom Pass works like an unlimited-use ticket that you can use again and again throughout the offer period—almost like a Universal annual pass, but without the usual Annual Pass extras like free parking or in-park food and merch discounts.
For 2026, eligible service members can choose between a 2-Park or 3-Park Military Freedom Pass valid for Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and (with the 3-Park option) Universal Volcano Bay. Passes are valid from November 13, 2025 through December 18, 2026, with limited blockout dates.
On top of that, Universal is offering specially priced 1-Day Universal Epic Universe tickets exclusively for guests who have an activated 2026 Military Freedom Pass, plus military vacation packages and hotel deals – including offers that can save up to 40% at select Universal Orlando hotels, such as Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, on qualifying packages.
What’s New for the 2026 Military Freedom Pass?
Here’s a quick look at the biggest changes for 2026 compared to 2025:
- New valid dates: The 2026 Freedom Pass is valid for admission from November 13, 2025, through December 18, 2026 (once activated), giving you more than a full year of potential park days.
- Slight price increase:
- 2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass: $220 Adult / $215 Child ($10 increase)
- 3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass: $255 Adult / $250 Child ($15 increase)
- Updated blockout dates:
- All passes are blocked December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026, and March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026.
- The 3-Park pass has an additional blockout for Volcano Bay only from October 26, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
- Epic Universe access: 2026 continues the option to buy specially priced 1-Day Epic Universe tickets, but now the park is fully open and being promoted as Universal’s brand-new, award-winning theme park. These special tickets are available only to guests who already have an activated 2026 Military Freedom Pass.
The core idea hasn’t changed: for many military families, this is still one of the best-value theme park tickets available anywhere.
2026 Freedom Pass Details
Offer Dates & Validity
Tickets available for purchase:
November 13, 2025 – December 18, 2026
Valid for park admission:
Through and including December 18, 2026 (subject to blockout dates below).
Blockout Dates for 2026
2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass blockout dates:
- December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026
- March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026
3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass blockout dates:
- December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026
- March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026
- October 26, 2026 – December 18, 2026 (Volcano Bay only)
Note: The last 2 years (2024 and 2025), Universal Orlando has removed their Spring blockout dates well in advance!
If you’re planning a big 2026 trip, pay special attention to that late-October through mid-December Volcano Bay blockout on the 3-Park pass—it doesn’t affect the two main theme parks, but does matter if your family loves water park days.
2026 Freedom Pass Types
Just like in previous years, there are two versions of the Freedom Pass: a 2-Park and a 3-Park option. Both are Park-to-Park, meaning you can hop between the included parks on the same day.
2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass
The 2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass allows admission on the same day to:
- Universal Studios Florida
- Universal Islands of Adventure
This is the classic “do the two main parks all year” option.
3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass
The 3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass allows admission on the same day to:
- Universal Studios Florida
- Universal Islands of Adventure
- Universal Volcano Bay water theme park
You can visit all three parks on the same day when Volcano Bay is not blocked out.
2026 Freedom Pass Prices
For 2026, Universal has nudged the prices up slightly, but the pass still offers huge per-day savings if you’ll visit multiple times.
- 2-Park “2026 Military Freedom Pass”
$220 Adult
$215 Child (ages 3–9) - 3-Park “2026 Military Freedom Pass”
$255 Adult
$250 Child (ages 3–9)
Considering that these passes can be used over and over again across more than a year of eligibility dates (outside blockouts), the effective daily price can drop incredibly low compared to regular military tickets or gate pricing.
Who Is Eligible for the 2026 Freedom Pass?
Universal is very specific about who is and who is not eligible for this particular offer.
Eligible Service Members include:
- Active Duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces
- Reservists
- National Guard
- Retired members of all branches of the U.S. Military
- 100% Disabled Veterans (with a qualifying military ID)
- Spouses of the above (with a qualifying military ID)
- Current Department of Defense Civilian personnel with a valid qualifying DEERS-issued photo ID
Not eligible to purchase:
- NOAA
- U.S. Public Health Service
- Department of Homeland Security
- Divorced spouses
- Child dependents
- Contractors
- Foreign affiliates
- DoD Civilian (Retired)
- Any Veterans who are not retired and not 100% disabled
As always, this Freedom Pass eligibility is different from some other Disney and Universal military offers, so if you fall into one of the edge categories, double-check my main Universal Orlando Military Discount Eligibility page and the official Universal wording for your situation.
How Many 2026 Freedom Passes Can You Buy?
Each Eligible Military Member and/or their spouses can:
- Exchange a maximum of six (6) 2026 Military Freedom Passes at the front gate / Guest Services or a Universal Vacation Planning desk at an on-site or partner hotel.
- One of those six tickets must be used by the Eligible Military Member or the spouse themselves. Tickets are non-transferable and must always be used by the same person.
If you don’t buy all six at once, you can later return to the same military ticket office where you made the original purchase to buy the remaining passes (up to the max of six). You’ll need to show your original 2026 Freedom Pass and your valid DEERS-issued ID again, and then exchange the new tickets at Universal just like the first time.
Where and How to Buy the 2026 Military Freedom Pass
The 2026 Freedom Pass is not sold at the Universal Orlando front gate or online.
You can only buy these tickets at authorized Military Ticket & Travel Offices, including:
- Your Base Ticket Office / ITT
- Shades of Green’s ticket office (when they carry the offer)
- Other authorized military sales outlets
When you buy, you’ll receive Universal Orlando Military Promotional Tickets that must be presented and exchanged at:
- Universal’s Front Gate Ticket or Guest Services windows, or
- A Universal Vacation Planning / Destination Universal desk at Universal Orlando Resort Hotels or partner hotels.
For the exchange, an Eligible Military Member with valid DEERS-issued photo ID must be present to conduct the exchange for the entire order.
Important: The 2026 Freedom Pass Is Not an Annual Pass
Universal explicitly states that the 2026 Military Freedom Pass is not a Universal Orlando Annual Pass.
That means, unless otherwise noted, Freedom Pass holders are not entitled to:
- Free or discounted parking
- Food or merchandise discounts
- Annual Passholder lounges
- Special AP events or bonuses
- Built-in Early Park Admission
The Freedom Pass is all about deeply discounted park admission. If you’re local and will pay for parking every visit, or you really want all of the AP perks, it’s worth comparing the math between a Freedom Pass and a regular Universal Annual Pass.
On the other hand, if you’re flying in and staying on-site, using Universal resort transportation and not paying for parking, the Freedom Pass is usually a slam-dunk value.
Epic Universe: Special 1-Day Tickets for 2026 Freedom Pass Holders
Universal Epic Universe is Universal Orlando’s brand-new, headline-grabbing theme park, and for 2026, Universal is offering special 1-Day Epic Universe tickets that are only available if you already have an activated 2026 Military Freedom Pass.
Here’s how the 1-Day Epic Universe add-on works for 2026:
- You must have an activated 2-Park or 3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass.
- Add-on 1-Day Epic Universe tickets are date-specific, and quantities are limited each day.
- The add-on functions just like a 1-Day park ticket, but instead of being a separate ticket, it’s associated directly with your Freedom Pass.
- Prices and availability vary by date.
- You can buy add-on tickets for multiple different days, but you can only purchase one add-on ticket per date per 2026 Freedom Pass.
- Each purchase transaction is limited to six (6) tickets.
These Epic Universe tickets are a great way to layer a “big one-day splurge” at Universal’s newest park on top of the year-long Freedom Pass value.

Is the 2026 Freedom Pass Right for Your Family?
The Freedom Pass is usually a home run for:
- Families visiting for one long 5–10 day trip
- Families planning two or more shorter trips within the valid period
- Guests who fly in, stay at a Universal hotel, and use resort/park transportation instead of paying for parking
You might want to run the numbers carefully if:
- You live locally and would pay daily parking every visit
- You’re planning to rely heavily on Annual Passholder discounts and perks
In many cases, even for a single longer trip, the Freedom Pass can be cheaper than regular military-discounted Universal tickets, thanks to the extended validity and low per-day cost.

FAQ: Universal Orlando Resort 2026 Freedom Pass (Military)
What is the Universal Orlando 2026 Military Freedom Pass?
The 2026 Military Freedom Pass is an unlimited-use ticket for eligible military families—like an annual pass without typical AP perks (no free parking or in-park discounts). It’s valid for admission from November 13, 2025 through December 18, 2026, with limited blockout dates.
Which parks are included? Is Epic Universe included?
You choose either a 2-Park or 3-Park Freedom Pass. The 2-Park option includes Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. The 3-Park option adds Universal Volcano Bay. Epic Universe is not included as part of the pass itself, but there are specially priced 1-Day Epic Universe tickets that can be purchased separately only if you have an activated 2026 Freedom Pass.
What are the 2026 prices?
For 2026, Universal has slightly increased prices while keeping the pass an outstanding value:
• 2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass: $220 Adult / $215 Child (ages 3–9)
• 3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass: $255 Adult / $250 Child (ages 3–9)
What are the 2026 blockout dates?
For the 2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass, blockouts are:
• December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026
• March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026
For the 3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass, blockouts are:
• December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026
• March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026
• October 26, 2026 – December 18, 2026 (Volcano Bay only)
Where can I buy the 2026 Freedom Pass?
You can only buy the 2026 Military Freedom Pass at authorized Military Ticket & Travel Offices such as your Base Ticket Office / ITT, Shades of Green (when they carry the offer), and other authorized military outlets. The Freedom Pass is not sold at Universal’s gates or online. You then exchange the promotional tickets at Universal’s Front Gate, Guest Services, or a Universal Vacation Planning desk.
How many 2026 Freedom Passes can I buy?
Each Eligible Military Member may exchange up to six (6) 2026 Military Freedom Passes. One of those passes must be used by the Eligible Military Member themselves. Tickets are non-transferable and must always be used by the same person. If you don’t buy all six at once, you can return to the same military ticket office later to purchase the remaining passes.
Who’s eligible for the 2026 Freedom Pass?
Eligible guests include Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, Retired U.S. Military, 100% Disabled Veterans, spouses of the above, and Department of Defense Civilian personnel with a valid qualifying DEERS-issued photo ID. Not eligible: NOAA, U.S. Public Health Service, Department of Homeland Security, divorced spouses, child dependents, contractors, foreign affiliates, DoD Civilian (Retired), and non-retired/non-100% disabled veterans.
How does activation work?
The tickets you buy at a military office are promotional vouchers. You must present them at Universal’s Front Gate/Guest Services or a Universal Vacation Planning desk. An Eligible Military Member with a valid DEERS-issued photo ID must be present and will use one of the passes. Once exchanged, your 2026 Freedom Pass is activated and valid through December 18, 2026 (subject to blockouts).
Does the Freedom Pass include parking or Annual Pass discounts?
No. The 2026 Freedom Pass is admission-only. It does not include free or discounted parking, in-park food or merchandise discounts, AP lounges, or special AP events. If you’ll be paying daily for parking or want heavy AP perks, compare the total cost of a regular Universal Annual Pass versus the Freedom Pass.
Is the 2026 Freedom Pass better than buying regular military-discounted Universal tickets?
For many families, yes. Because the Freedom Pass is valid from November 13, 2025 through December 18, 2026 (outside blockouts), its per-day cost can be extremely low, especially if you’ll visit for a longer trip or multiple shorter trips. Always compare totals for your exact dates and party size.
Are special events like Halloween Horror Nights included?
No. Separately ticketed events such as Halloween Horror Nights are not included with the 2026 Freedom Pass. You would need to purchase those tickets separately.
Can I combine the 2026 Freedom Pass with military room discounts or vacation packages?
Yes. Universal offers military room discounts and specific military vacation packages, including the Military Create Your Own Vacation Package and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Exclusive Military Vacation Package. These packages pair your 2026 Freedom Pass with Universal hotel stays, Early Park Admission, and extra in-park experiences.
How-To: Buy & Use the 2026 Freedom Pass (Quick Guide)
- Verify eligibility and count passes. Confirm that you or your spouse qualify (Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Retired, 100% Disabled Veteran, or DoD Civilian with a qualifying DEERS-issued ID). Decide how many passes you need, up to six (6) per Eligible Military Member.
- Choose your pass type. Pick the 2-Park 2026 Freedom Pass (Universal Studios Florida + Islands of Adventure) or the 3-Park 2026 Freedom Pass (adds Volcano Bay). Remember that Epic Universe is not included, but can be added separately with special 1-Day tickets if you have an activated Freedom Pass.
- Purchase at an authorized military ticket office. Buy your 2026 promotional tickets from a Base Ticket Office / ITT, Shades of Green (when available), or another authorized military outlet. You’ll receive Universal Orlando Military Promotional Tickets, not activated passes.
- Exchange and activate on arrival. Take your promotional tickets and valid DEERS-issued photo ID to Universal’s Front Gate, Guest Services, or a Universal Vacation Planning desk. An Eligible Military Member must be present and will use one of the passes. Once exchanged, your 2026 Freedom Pass is activated and valid through December 18, 2026 (subject to blockouts).
- Plan around blockout dates. Avoid visiting on the listed blockouts:• All passes: December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026 and March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026• 3-Park pass only (Volcano Bay): October 26, 2026 – December 18, 2026
- Decide if you want Epic Universe. If you’d like to experience Universal Epic Universe, purchase specially priced 1-Day Epic Universe tickets tied to your activated 2026 Freedom Pass. These are date-specific, limited in quantity, and sold as one add-on ticket per date per pass.
- Optimize your value. If you’re flying in, staying on-site, and not paying for parking, the Freedom Pass is usually the best deal. If you’re local and will pay for parking and want AP discounts, compare a regular Universal Annual Pass versus the 2026 Freedom Pass before you buy.
