Shipping items to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel can be a great alternative to packing those items, lugging them to the airport, and paying airline fees!
Rather than packing food, snacks, or other items in your suitcases, you can have packages shipped right to your Walt Disney World Resort. You can mail them from yourself, or have your purchases at Amazon or any other retailer delivered as well.
(For what to pack see our Packing Checklist)
Here are some ideas of items that you could ship:
- Food/Snacks
- Drinks for Kids and/or Adults
- Cases of Water
- Air Mattresses
- Sleeping Bags
- Pillows
- Extra Luggage – to accommodate all those souvenirs going home
- Pool Toys
- Diapers and Wipes
- Sun Screen
- Toiletries
- Hangars
- Fans
- Spare Shoes
- Mini Christmas Tree
- Gifts and Decorations (Christmas, birthday, or other)
Disney charges a $6 delivery charge per package for this service.
Combine the 6 dollar fee with any delivery fee and it’s still MUCH cheaper than airline extra or heavy luggage fees!
Shipping
Make sure the your package has the mailing address of your Disney World Resort Hotel and clearly features the word Guest on the front and the date of your arrival.
Disney charges a 6 dollar handling fee per package for those received through the Front Desk or are delivered to your Disney Resort hotel room.
Example:
Beetle Bailey – Hold for Guest Arrival, 15 December 2019
C/O Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
1850 Animation Way
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-8400
You can obtain your Resort’s address from Disney’s website: Disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/ Find your resort and click on Resort Overview, then look on the right side of the Resort’s page for the address
You should have your package delivered within the week of your arrival. Too much further ahead can cause storage issues for the resorts, though they will not refuse your package.
I recommend paying for tracking and having your tracking numbers handy when asking for your package.
Receiving your Delivery
When you arrive, just ask for your package at the Front Desk. They may hand it to you then or direct you to the Bell Hop station. They can hand it to you or bring it to your room for you. (Tip your Bell Hop Please)
Disney will also ship packages home for you, for a handling fee plus postage. Just ask at the Front Desk.
Or Set Your Delivery After Arrival
We like to do this, than there is no issue with Shades of Green having to store your packages.
We just set the delivery for a time after arrival that works for us.
Ordering and setting your delivery date and time with Amazon’s Whole Foods Market couldn’t be easier!
The delivery fee is MUCH cheaper than airline extra or heavy luggage fees!
Order your items from Amazon Prime, be sure to do an Amazon Prime Try Before You Buy trial!
Updates to Receiving
Disney World has made some recent changes (Dec 2021) at the All-Star Music Resort for receiving deliveries. They have installed a locker system.
Beginning 29 Dec 2021, select vendors will be able to drop off certain packages and groceries for Disney’s All-Star Music Resort guests at new locker facilities outside Melody Hall – located near Luggage Services.
Guests who check in using online check-in service will receive an email notification when packages or grocery items have been delivered to the lockers, with instructions on how to access the locker. The email will be sent to the one provided during online check -in.
Here are some important things to know:
-
Both dry-good and refrigerated storage are offered, subject to availability
-
A $6 per-package handling fee will apply
-
Deliveries are subject to the Disney Resort hotel’s policies and may be unavailable, limited, or restricted
-
At theis time, guests who do not use online check-in will continue to be required to pick up packages and groceries at Bell Services or arrange for in person delivery with the vendor directly.“
I expect this will slowly be adopted at the other resorts! Art of Animation is rumored to be next.

Disney doesn’t charge $5 per package. I know this because I sent a package to my resort room via Amazon and paid a little over $10 for just one package. When I questioned them about this, since I was told $5 a package, they said that they charge by weight, not by piece. So if you’re shipping a case of water, soda, juice, whatever – be prepared for what you’ll pay.
Thanks for the info Peg!!!
I tried to mail out a few items not bought at Disney (shirts from home) along with some items I bought there and they would not send it to my home. They said they would only send items bought on property, with a receipt so they can insure it. I tried to send some souvenir cups from Ogas. I didn’t have the receipt, so beach club wouldn’t do it. Just my experience in September 2020..
Thanks for the intel Brooke!
is this working in 2021, im heading there in april
Hi Xavier,
Yes, on our Nov 20 trip received an Amazon delivery for our party, and saw this happening for others on the January 21 trip.
