Shades of Green has announced a new type of discount for enlisted members (except the Top 3).
Offering a discount to specific ranks and statuses is totally new for the Walt Disney World Military Resort!

Shades of Green says, “This summer, active-duty soldiers deserve a well-earned break. Recharge and unwind with us, where we honor your service with comfortable accommodations and the perfect environment to relax and refuel.”
They, of course, mean service members and not soldiers! Sadly, as an Army installation, that can’t help being too focused on their specific terms.
Offer Details
On specific dates in July and August 2025, active duty members in the pay grades of E1 to E6 can take advantage of special pricing of $139 per night!
Valid Dates:
- July 1 – 21 and August 25 – 30
Savings are for active duty E1-E6 and are only available in standard rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis. Subject to availability.
This cannot be combined with any other offer.
This room rate applies to two adults per room. Each additional adult is $15.00.
Modifying reservations may result in a change of room rate.
A valid Military ID is required upon check-in, and eligibility will be confirmed at that time.
How they plan to tell active military from Guard and Reserve when the IDs are identical remains to be seen…
