Shades of Green has announced that in line with Walt Disney World’s phased re-opening plan, they have paused sales of all Walt Disney World Tickets.

This is a temporary measure which coincides with Disney World’s ticket sales pause.
Ticket sales will resume once Disney has finished addressing resort reservation modifications and theme park reservations for those who already have reservations and linked tickets/passes.
Shades of Green continues to sell tickets for other Orlando venues like Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

I’m wondering if there’s any news on when military discounts will be announced for 2021. I had to cancel my trip for 2020 and am anxious to book for next year. Would you happen to know if I book for 2021 now will I be able to apply the military discount when or if it becomes available. Thank you for your feedback.

Historically, since the switch to calendar year Salutes, the announcement comes in late Sept.
But we are in uncharted territory.
An announcement could come early (not likely), on time, late, or not at all.
Discounts being offered depend on the need of a company to attract extra bodies. If God forbid this social distancing foolishness is still going on in the fall or into next year, whey probably won’t need to offer any discounts.
Only time will tell (and the news cycle…)
As far as converting a rate, no that isn’t a thing. All Salute reservations must be a new reservation.
Because they are based upon availability, you may get a Salute discount on the same dates, resort, room type when calling (if available) and never know the difference and the cast member may just say they converted it. But it’s also possible that the same dates, resort, room type won’t be available and you’ll need to adjust one of the 3 variables to get a Salute discount.
We have a military reservation at the Beach Club for September 29-October 8. We want to buy Armed Forces Salute tickets For 6days. When will military ticket sales begin again. We can’t make park res or dining res without a ticket. Please advise

Disney has not yet announced when they will resume any ticket sales.
At a guess several weeks at least.
