Along with releasing 2020 general public resort prices today, Disney also increased the cost to park at the Walt Disney World Resorts.
18 June 2019 – The change is effective for all reservations made starting today. Reservations booked prior will still be at the old rates.
For reservations made before 18 June 2019 for arrivals in 2019 or 2020:
- Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
- Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
- Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night
For reservations made 18 June 2019 and thereafter for arrivals in 2020:
- Disney Value Resorts: $15 per night
- Disney Moderate Resorts: $20 per night
- Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $25 per night
In a controversial move, Disney started charging for resort parking last year.
Note: Parking fees will be turned on for your room by any of the following:
- Stating that you drove a car at check in
- Arriving at the security boot for your resort in a car
- Using you Magic Band to open the vehicle entry gates for your resort.
If you have one car and several rooms always use a Magic Band for someone staying in the room paying for the parking to enter at the guard booth or automatic gate. When paying for rides (Lyft, Uber, taxi) do not use your magic band for entrance.
Exceptions
Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Each campsite provides parking space for 1 vehicle.
DVC Members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking when staying at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of whether they use vacation points or another form of payment. Members also will not be charged to park when using vacation points to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Those renting points from members will not be charged either.
Valet Parking
Valet parking remains at $33 per day at the WDW Resorts.

Here are other parking fees that might be applicable during your trip:

Do you know if the deluxe resorts still offer free valet parking for handicap people? It has been 5 years since I stayed at one but at that time it was free valet for handicap. You had to have either handicap plates or a valid handicap placard.
Hi Stephanie,
I can’t find a reference to this on Disney’s website. But other sources on the internet indicate that this is so.
i think disney is a discrace and its nothing but coporate greed they should br ashamed im a disabled veteran and cant afford disney the whole place is a joke
I think it is ridiculous that we would have to pay to park at a resort that we’re staying at especially the deluxe and modern resorts. We are already paying top dollar and on top of that they want to charge us for parking. I will very take this into consideration when deciding if it is worth it on top of all the other charges. Not happy at all.
I totally agree with Anita. To charge for parking at a resort that is already charging $100’s of dollars a day is what another contributor described as nothing more than corporate greed.1
Thank you for the parking fee info. I think it’s crazy that they charge resort guests the fees. They are already paying a premium to stay there. However, most staying at the resorts got there by shuttle and didn’t rent or bring a car. The ride share info is also a good caution. Shades of green parking should be free. They already gave a gate guard. I stop there to use MWR. I guess if I want to save a few buck I cane use MWR on my home base or the Orlando airport area exchange.
I’m just glad that Disney still offers a hefty discount on the admission to the parks.
I know it’s a business but this is getting ridiculous! They are making enough profit from tickets, food, and merchandise sales!
Hello. Please let me know the parking fees for retired military with Military ID at Walt Disney World. Is there a parking discount?
Hi Beth,
No discount, sorry.
