The Liberty Tree Tavern is an under-appreciated restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.
It boasts an all American colonial theme with multiple themed rooms filled with antiques and knick knacks. Some of the themed rooms include Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, and George Washington.
PRO TIP: Be sure to ask your server about special details in your designated rooms. There is so much to look at, you don’t want to miss the important stuff!
Menu
Break out your stretchy pants because Liberty Tree Tavern is going to fill you with all of the homey comfort foods. Lunch and dinner are served family-style as an all-year-to-enjoy buffet.
This is not your typical theme park restaurant cuisine! At the Liberty Tree Tavern, it’s Thanksgiving every day! The meal includes a Declarations Salad, a Patriot’s Platter that includes turkey, pot roast, roasted pork, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb stuffing, and housemade macaroni and cheese. To finish off this fantastically filling meal, you get a healthy helping of Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.
You may be tempted to eat so much of the meal that there is no room for dessert, but do not do yourself this disservice! The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is the stuff of legends. It is a vanilla toffee cake served warm and covered with ice cream and chocolate sauce.

The Diamond Horseshoe
Is colonial America not really your vibe? Did you just get off of the fastest ride in the wiiiiiillllderness and want to continue your trip into the old west? Then walk a few steps from the Liberty Tree Tavern over to the Diamond Horseshoe!
The Diamond Horseshoe is located right next door to the Liberty Tree Tavern and is technically in Frontierland. It is a smaller restaurant modeled after an old west dance hall. Where the Liberty Tree Tavern is dark, cozy and quiet, the Diamond Horseshoe is bright, open, and loud.
Menu
The menu at The Diamond Horseshoe features the same all American Thanksgiving dinner as the Liberty Tree Tavern. (FUN FACT: They have the same fare because they share a kitchen). The salad just has a different name here.

PRO TIP – While everyone is rushing for the Liberty Tree Tavern for Thanksgiving, be one step ahead and book The Diamond Horseshoe for the EXACT same Thanksgiving meal! Yee haw!
A Bit of History
The Diamond Horseshoe has had a mixed history over the years. The Diamond Horseshoe Revue wan an opening day restaurant, featuring a wild west stage show with can can girls and vaudeville style entertainment. Several shows of this type were featured over the years, “Mighty Glad to See You!”: The Original Show (1971-1986), Diamond Horseshoe Jamboree (1986-1995), Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue and Medicine Show (1995-2003). This style of show was then replaced by Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue and Medicine Show (2003-2004). It then spent time as a character meet and greet with Woody and friends, and in 2016 became a a seasonal restaurant serving family style and a la carte items. The only entertainment on the stage was provided by a player piano (which still is used today). Recently as we describe above it has become essentially and overflow location for the Liberty Tree Tavern.
Food was almost an after thought through most of its history with snack type food (sandwiches and chips) being sold either via waitresses or counter service.
