Discounted Military Dates and Ticket Prices

Active and Retired U.S. Military, including members of the U.S. Coast Guard and participating members of the National Guard or Reserve, may purchase discounted Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets for special military-priced event nights. They may also purchase additional tickets for up to five (5) family members and/or friends.
Where Can You Purchase These Specially Priced Tickets?
- Direct From Walt Disney World:Â
- These special tickets must be purchased in person (with proper military ID) from Walt Disney World ticket or Guest Relations locations! They can not be pre-purchased over the phone or the internet.
- From Shades of Green:
- You may also purchase these special tickets in person at Shades of Green’s Ticket Office
- Shades of Green will ship these tickets for a fee. You can email them at: [email protected] and they will email you the forms that you need to fill out.
You cannot buy these tickets at:
- Base Ticket Offices
- DisneyWorld.com
- Or via phone from Disney
NOTE: In years past, Disney World allowed the military community to purchase MNSSHP tickets in person after arrival for sold out nights. I’d negotiated this ability with Disney because at the time Shades of Green did not sell MNSSHP tickets and the military rate was only available in person, so military families would often find their desired date sold out before they could get there on vacation and buy their tickets.
This special treatment is no longer available! Frankly, I’d been expecting this for years. Once Shades of Green started selling long distance it was inevitable.Â
Non-Military Tickets can be ordered ahead of time by calling 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639), or visit disneyworld.com (Disney Vacation Club members must call Member Services.)
All dates, prices, and details subject to change by Disney.

In the past we were able to buy tickets day of at guest relations even if it was sold out. Is that still true?
I called shades of green and they said tickets could only be purchased through them so I am so confused now haha
Hi D,
They definitely have stopped the practice of allowing the military to purchase for sold out nights as Shades of Green has shipped tickets for years now alleviating the need to buy from Disney in person after arrival with the possibility that your date would be sold out before you got there.
As far as I know you can still purchase tickets through Disney in person at the mil rate for nights that are not sold out.
Curious where you got your info on the dates and prices. SoG doesn’t have any Christmas Party tickets for Dec 21 or 22. They say that Disney did not release any to them. WDW claims that there are no military discount tickets for the party at all, only tax-free sales from SoG. I’m hesitant to wait and try to purchase in person the week of if WDW customer service says there’s no discount.
Hi Theresa,
I got them right off of Shades of Green’s site right after they posted.
It may be they had them and have sold out, you have to take anything Shades of Green says with a pinch of salt…
But if they say they don’t have them now I’d go with that and purchase from Disney. You can always try to get a discount (or gift card for the difference in person).
