How to Get Deep Military Discounts at Disney

You don’t need to wish upon a star to get a great military deal at Disney theme parks in Florida and California.

If you’re currently serving or retired military (active, Guard, Reserve, NOAA and Public Health Service Commissioned Corps) or a spouse, discounted tickets are available through several options. My family and I have been taking advantage of these discounts for well over a decade, often going several times a year.

I think the Disney Theme Parks are the ideal places for military families to let go and forget, at least for a short while, their stressful lives filled with deployments, PCS moves, and many other things that only military families have to deal with.

Disney is very good at creating a totally immersive experience, so that all you think about while you’re there is having fun!

Available Tickets

Here is a breakdown of all the different Military Discounted tickets that are available to our community and where you can get them.

Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets – These highly discounted tickets are offered for specific time periods at highly discounted set prices. These tickets are about half off of what you would pay at the gate for an equivalent ticket.

At Walt Disney World they offer 4 and 5-day tickets with the Hopper option, Plus option, or both options. At Disneyland they offer a 3 or 4-Day Hopper ticket. The Genie+ option can be added to all of these tickets for about $15 extra.

For 2022 at Disney World they offer 4, and 5-day Salute Tickets, while at Disneyland they offer 3 or 4-Day Salute Tickets.

Purchase at Base Ticket Offices, Shades of Green or direct at Disney ticket windows (sales tax added at Walt Disney World). There are lots of rules for these tickets!

Regular Military Discounted Disney Tickets – These slightly discounted tickets have always been available through Base Ticket Offices. They come in various lengths (1-10 days at WDW and 1-5 days at DL) with or without the options mentioned above.

These can only be purchased at Base Ticket Offices (including Shades of Green)!
