The Magic Kingdom is famous for its fairy tale magic. Animal Kingdom is famous for its dedication to conservation. Hollywood Studios is famous for Broadway-style shows and dedication to immersion. But what about EPCOT?
EPCOT is more than eating and drinking, though that is a big part! EPCOT is known for its vast live entertainment options!
Here’s our video overview. Read more below!
It’s important to note that since EPCOT almost always has a festival going on, the live entertainment changes as well. Be sure to check the times guide in your My Disney Experience when you’re there to know exactly what to expect.
American Garden Theater
Throughout the year there are concerts at the American Adventure Pavilion’s American Garden Theater, but none are more popular than the concerts at the Eat to the Beat Concert series of the International Food and Wine Festival. There you can see famous bands and singers from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, like 38 Special, Rick Springfield, Boyz II Men, members from NSYNC, and more!
Canada Mill Stage
Welcome to the world of flannel and lumberjacks! The Canada Pavilion is where the Maple syrup and beer are flowing and entertainment is happening! Different rock mix bands from Canada rock out for guests with guitars, fiddles, and more.
United Kingdom Gazebo
Over the years, different British cover bands have cycled through this outdoor gazebo in the United Kingdom Pavilion’s park. The current band is called Command Performance.
Command Performance brings you music from the days of the British invasion in the 1960s through the 1990s. Enjoy British rock from yesterday with an Orlando-based band from today in short 30 minute performances throughout the day.
DuckTales World Showcase Adventure
Can you even say that name without the “Woohoo” at the end?? DuckTales are back and solving mysteries, and now you can be a part of the gang with the World Showcase Adventure. This is a free game within the Play Disney Parks app where you scan special clues throughout the World Showcase to help solve the mystery!
Germany Pavilion
Break out the lederhosen! The Germany Pavilion typically features live entertainment in the form of musical performances by a traditional German folk music group called “Bavarian Musikanten.” These talented musicians showcase the rich musical heritage of Germany with lively performances, featuring a variety of traditional instruments.
Performances are at the Germany Gazebo, located to the left of the pavilion. Guest performers cycle in occasionally. For January-February 2024 enjoy a sensational German pop band featuring Julia Scheeser—the enchanting performer who lent her singing voice to Belle and Princess Jasmine for the Germany releases of the live-action films Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
The JAMMitors
This comedic percussion group is known for their high-energy and interactive street performances featuring trash cans and unconventional “instruments.” The Jammitors create lively and rhythmic beats using drumsticks, trash can lids, and other everyday objects, engaging audiences with their dynamic and humorous routines.
The JAMMinators can be seen in EPCOT’s World Discovery, typically in the area between Connections Cafe & Eatery and Test Track.
Matsuriza
Matsuriza is a traditional Japanese drumming ensemble that has been featured at the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT forever. The group consists of skilled taiko drummers who deliver powerful and rhythmic performances using various types of Japanese drums, including the taiko drums of different sizes and tones. The drums can be heard from around the World Showcase, but if you would like to see them up close, be sure to check the times guide in your My Disney Experience.
Marimba de las Américas
Marimba de las Américas is a vibrant authentic-style mariachi band that plays in the Mexico Pavilion. Sometimes if you’re lucky Miguel from Coco joins them! Grab a margarita and get ready to dance to La Cucaracha! Performances are in the overhang next to the World Showcase Lagoon as you are walking towards the Norway Pavilion.
Voices of Liberty
The Voices of Liberty is an a cappella vocal ensemble that performs at the American Adventure Pavilion. This talented group is known for their exquisite harmonies and renditions of classic American patriotic songs, folk tunes, and more. The Voices of Liberty typically perform inside the rotunda of the American Adventure attraction.
My Disney Experience
All live entertainment performance times can be viewed in the My Disney Experience app on the Tip Board (when EPCOT is selected as the park).
EPCOT Entertainment of Yesteryear
Things change, sometimes for the good, sometimes not so much. EPCOT entertainment has had a series of layoffs of long-time performers in the past that ditched some great acts! The 2020 shutdown also had an impact, with some acts not returning. Below are some of Steve’s favorites, the first three were hit by the September 2014 layoff.
For posterity, here are some of the awesome entertainment options that are no longer available at EPCOT.
Off Kilter – This awesome band played Canadien rock music with a bagpipe in the band! These guys were “awesome.” Says Steve.
Mo’Rockin – This Moroccan Rock Band (get the name?) was very good, offering a unique rock twist to traditional Moroccan music. They were accompanied by a talented belly dancer.
Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps – This fife and drum corps dressed in revolutionary uniforms played songs from that era as they marched through the American Adventure Pavilion.
Living Statues – These talented performers in the France Pavilion portrayed Renaissance period statues. They were totally in white, both clothes and exposed skin and kept their eyes closed (except for a unnoticeable slit to see). They would strike a pose and hold it until approached by a guest, when they’d interact often humorously with the guest.
British Revolution – A previous bad that played at the UK Gazebo.
