On a recent trip to Shades of Green, Walt Disney World’s Military only Resort, we dropped by the Garden Gallery for breakfast.
The Garden Gallery is Shades of Green’s Buffet Style restaurant, which is open for breakfast and dinner.
The Garden Gallery serves a traditional American style buffet breakfast every morning. You’ll be sure to find something that everyone in your party will like.

After being seated, your server will get your drink orders and bring them to the table while you are making your first trip to the buffet.
The food at the buffet is good and plentiful, with food service workers refreshing the hot items continuously.

Reader Comments:
The #1 draw for SoG dining is lower price. In exchange for lower price you get lower quality, especially at Mangino’s and Garden Gallery. The convenience of the Java and Express Cafe’s is wonderful and you get great value. The friendliness and attentiveness of all dining staff is also great.
The wait staff at the Garden Gallery was great. Food was very good too, although while we were there, they were offering the stir fry buffet. NOT worth the $29.00!!
The buffet breakfast was worth every penny! Very good.
“We love doing the breakfast buffet in the mornings, good service, quick, inexpensive. Evergreens is very limited menu and frozen food over priced.”
“Some of the staff seemed less than thrilled to be working. One waitress did not bring our drinks until we were just about finished eating. She had forgotten! And it’s a buffet.”
“Garden Galley Buffet was great value. Our family was glad to have fresh fruit and salads for a reasonable price (as opposed to greasy burgers at Disney prices). The food was “entirely adequate” — nothing special, but it met our needs. Service was almost always great. ”
“Garden Gallery overwhelmed by shear numbers, but always do a great job.”

Anyone know if garden gallery at SOG has gluten free Mickey waffles? I know pretty much all the Disney resorts do, not sure about SOG.
Will the this buffet be open for Easter April 17, 2022?
Hi Carol,
Shades of Green hasn’t mad any announcement to that effect.
Hi Carol
The Garden Gallery Has re-opened.
Is it reasonable to think that if you’re in line at opening at 7:00 AM when opening, that you could be in and out in 45 minutes?
You probably could Kara.
Let you server know you wnat the check right away when you get to the table, make one trip, then head out.
But Note: The Garden Gallery Is currently closed and has been since the 2020 shutdown. It’s not known when they will re-open.
Stayed at SOG in April of 2024. Stopped by Garden Gallery for their noodle bar at the end of a long day in the parks. My wife and son have allergies, we tried to explain to the “chef” the possibility of cross contamination between the shrimp and everything else. These concerns were ignored by him as we watched him prepare their food without proper preparation. after explaining or concerns with the on-duty manager. we decided it was better not to eat there. If you have allergies be aware
Thanks for the intel Tim
