Here is a rundown of the ticket options available for military families planning a Disney Resort Vacation.

Lightning Lane Single-Pass and Multi-Pass are Disney’s advance reservation system for attractions.

Military families traveling to Walt Disney World and Disneyland have two military ticket options available to purchase for their vacations.

• Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets
• Regular Military Discounted Disney Tickets

Both of these ticket options are available for use with Disney Single and Multi Lightning Passes.

Single-Pass at both Resort Destinations are purchased through the respective resort’s app. Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort handle the Lightning Lane Multi-Passes in different ways!

Disney World vs Disneyland

At Walt Disney World Lightning Lane, Multi-Pass, cannot be added to your tickets. This applies to both military and general public tickets. Lightning Lane purchases are done the day of, through the My Disney Experience app (both Single and Multi).

At the Disneyland Resort  Lightning Lane Multi-Pass can be purchased as part of your military tickets (both types), or added on after arrival, thus avoiding having to make the purchase each day through the Disneyland App.

Purchasing Tickets

You can purchase your tickets ahead of time in several ways.

You can buy them at your Base Ticket Office, some Offices don’t stock all types of tickets and require lead time to order what you need. Some Bases don’t carry them at all and you’ll need to get them via phone from a Base that will mail them. Allow 2 weeks for this process!

Shades of Green, Camp Pendleton, and several others sell tickets long distance for a fee.

Some of these Ticket Offices that sell long-distance charge a fee ($10 to $15) to FedEx you the physical tickets either overnight or via 2-day shipping. Others will email you the ticket numbers or QR codes to link them directly to your Mu Disney Experience account.
