If you follow Military Disney Tips then you know all about the great discounts that Disney offers to military families. The Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets are the best deal available to these families by offering a flat rate ticket for 4 or 5 day Park Hopper Tickets at Walt Disney World and 3 0r 4 day Park Hopper Tickets at the Disneyland Resort. These tickets have no blackout dates, HOWEVER, they do expire December 16, 2022!

That’s right! If you are hoping to wake up on Christmas morning in the most magical place on earth, then you cannot do it with these special tickets, but we’re here to tell you, you’ve got options.

Magic Your Way Tickets

You may not have known that Disney has another discount ticket offer for military families known as Magic Your Way. These are the same Magic Your Way Tickets sold to the general public at a slight discount. These military versions are not date based (sold for specific dates at varying prices) as the general public versions are.

Disney has no special name for these tickets, so here at MDT we’ve always called them the Regular Disney Military Discounted Tickets for Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

You can choose from 1-day to 10-day tickets at Walt Disney World and 1-day to 5-day tickets at the Disneyland Resort and customize exactly what features you want. These tickets are not as steeply discounted as the Armed Forces Salute, but there is no limit and they do not have the holiday season blockout dates!

Regular Disney Military Discounted Tickets for Walt Disney World can be purchased in person at most Base Ticket Offices, Shades of Green’s Attraction Ticket Sales Office, or the Orlando ITT. They can also be purchased long distance from Base Ticket Offices that Ship, Shades of Green’s Attraction Ticket Office, or the Orlando ITT.

Regular Disney Military Discounted Tickets for the Disneyland Resort can be purchased in person at many Base Ticket Offices. They can also be purchased long distance from Base Ticket Offices that Ship.

Regular Disney Military Discounted Tickets for Walt Disney World and Disneyland cannot be purchased directly from Disney in person or digitally!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Let’s face it, if you are going to Walt Disney World for Christmas, then you really want the full holly jolly moment. There is no better place than the special after hours event, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This is a separate ticketed event where military families can save close to 10% by purchasing through Shades of Green.

If you are hoping to party with Moo-riah Dairy and Mickey Mouse, you better hurry! Most of the November parties are already sold out and we are seeing days in December go fast.

Editor’s Public Service Announcement: FYI, the Christmas timeframe (about the 21st through the 31st) is the absolute busiest time at Disney’s parks. With Disney World’s Magic Kingdom having the absolute most attendance on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!!!! I’ve stood on Main Street USA and been unable to move due to the mass of shoulder to shoulder people from the entrance to the castle!
