The Wonders of Xandar Pavilion in EPCOT's World Discovery

The Xandar Pavilion – from Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the smaller pavilions in EPCOT!

The pavilion consists of just one attraction with the same name as the pavilion and a merchandise shop.

The Pavilion

As you near the pavilion you will first see a Starblaster of the Xandarian Nova Corps that sits on a pedestal at the front of the pavilion. This makes for a great photo op!

The original building houses the ride queue and merchandise shop, while a huge new building was built backstage to house the new indoor rollercoaster.

The pavilion and ride replaced the Universal of Energy Pavilion, and its attraction Ellen’s Energy Adventure, which closed in August 2017 for the multi year renovation.

World Discovery Neighborhood

As part of the ongoing reimagining and restructuring of Epcot, Disney has introduced the concept of neighborhoods within the park, and the Land Pavilion has been designated as part of the “World Discovery” neighborhood. This restructuring is aimed at creating a more cohesive and thematic experience for guests, aligning with EPCOT’s original vision while infusing new elements of storytelling and innovation.

World Discovery is all about exploring science & technology, and intergalactic adventure come to life.

Attractions

Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind – (H42) (Lightning Lane Single) – Join Rocket, Groot, Gamora, and Star-Lord on an urgent mission where you’ll rewind, rotate, and head towards the action through an exciting space pursuit. This family-thrill attraction features the first-ever reverse launch on a Disney coaster and is one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world! A new innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering—this coaster rotates 360 degrees so you can focus on the action!

There is no dining in this Pavilion.

Shopping

Treasures of Xandar – A merchandise location operated by “The Broker,” a proud Xandarian who is bringing his locally-famous shop to EPCOT. This out-of-this-galaxy shop features treasures acquired during travels across the galaxy, as well as items that pay tribute to the planet Xandar and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
