Universal Orlando Resort’s Military Sales Office Has Confirmed an Epic Universe 1-Day Add-On for the 2026 Military Freedom Pass!
Military readers have been asking when Epic Universe would be available with the Military Freedom Pass, and Universal Orlando has now confirmed the answer for 2026.
For 2026, eligible active duty and retired U.S. military members with an activated 2026 Military Freedom Pass can purchase a 1-Park, 1-Day ticket to Universal Epic Universe as a special add-on. This Epic Universe add-on is a dated ticket that is directly associated with your 2026 Freedom Pass and lets you add a “big Epic Universe day” on top of your year-long Freedom Pass value.
Once your 2026 Military Freedom Pass is activated and linked to your Universal Orlando account, you’ll be able to see available dates and pricing for the 1-Day Universal Epic Universe add-on and purchase it online.
Epic Universe 1-Day Add-On Details for 2026 Freedom Pass Holders
Here’s what Universal officially states for the 2026 Epic Universe add-on for Military Freedom Pass holders:
- Must have an activated 2026 Military Freedom Pass. Only guests with an activated 2-Park or 3-Park 2026 Freedom Pass are eligible to purchase the Epic Universe 1-Day add-on.
- Discounted 1-Day Epic Universe tickets. These are specially priced 1-Day tickets to Universal Epic Universe offered only to 2026 Freedom Pass holders.
- Dated admission with limited quantities. The add-on tickets are date-specific, and Universal limits how many are available for each date.
- No separate physical ticket. The add-on functions like a 1-Day ticket, but there is no separate paper ticket. It must be electronically associated to a specific 2026 Military Freedom Pass.
- Date-based pricing. Ticket prices and availability vary by day. Busier days cost more, slower days cost less.
- Multiple days allowed, but only one add-on per date per pass. You can purchase add-on tickets for multiple different days, but for each calendar date you can only buy one Epic Universe add-on ticket per 2026 Freedom Pass.
- Limit six (6) tickets per transaction. Each purchase transaction is limited to six (6) Epic Universe add-on tickets.
On top of these official rules, the basic flow mirrors the 2025 process: you’ll first get and activate your Freedom Pass, link it to your Universal Orlando account, and then the Epic Universe 1-Day option becomes available as an add-on product you can buy digitally.
Quick Refresher: 2026 Military Freedom Pass Overview
The 2026 Military Freedom Pass is the foundation of this Epic Universe add-on. In brief, here’s how the 2026 pass itself works:
- Tickets available for purchase: November 13, 2025 – December 18, 2026 (through authorized Military Ticket & Travel offices only).
- 2-Park “2026 Military Freedom Pass” Promotional Ticket: Admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure on the same day. Tickets valid through and including December 18, 2026.
- 3-Park “2026 Military Freedom Pass” Promotional Ticket: Admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Volcano Bay water theme park on the same day, valid through and including December 18, 2026.
2026 Freedom Pass Blockout Dates
2-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass blockout dates:
- December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026
- March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026
3-Park 2026 Military Freedom Pass blockout dates:
- December 25, 2025 – January 4, 2026
- March 30, 2026 – April 6, 2026
- October 26, 2026 – December 18, 2026 (Volcano Bay Only)
These blockout dates apply to your Freedom Pass parks. The Epic Universe 1-Day add-on itself is sold on a date-specific, availability-based model rather than having a separate published “blockout list,” so you’ll see what’s truly available for your Epic Universe day once you log in and check your dates.
Epic Universe 1-Day Add-On Pricing (2026)
Just like in 2025, Universal is using a date-based pricing system for the 2026 Epic Universe 1-Day add-on:
- Higher prices on peak days (major holidays, spring break, high-demand weekends).
- Lower prices on off-peak weekdays and shoulder seasons.
Universal has chosen not to publish a fixed price range for these tickets. They’ve noted that prices can change depending on availability, so the best way to know what you’ll pay is to:
- Activate and link your 2026 Military Freedom Pass to your Universal Orlando account.
- Choose your desired visit date for Epic Universe.
- Check the live pricing shown for that date in your online account or in the Universal app.
As readers begin using the 2026 offer and report specific price points for different dates, I’ll update this page with real-world examples to help you budget.
How to Buy and Use the 2026 Epic Universe 1-Day Add-On
Here’s a step-by-step guide, based on Universal’s 2026 rules and the process used for the 2025 add-on.
- Buy your 2026 Military Freedom Pass.
Purchase your 2026 Freedom Pass from an authorized Military Ticket & Travel Office (Base Ticket Office / ITT, Shades of Green’s ticket office when available, etc.). You’ll receive Universal Orlando Military Promotional Tickets (vouchers), not activated passes. - Link your Freedom Pass to your Universal Orlando account.
If you’ve used the Universal Orlando app before, you already have an account. If not, you can create one by following this link or by clicking the person icon on Universal Orlando’s website.
The easiest way to link your tickets is to scan the Freedom Pass voucher in the Universal Orlando app so it shows up under your tickets. - Redeem your 2026 Freedom Pass at Universal Orlando.
On your first park day, bring your promotional ticket and valid DEERS-issued photo ID to a Front Gate Ticket or Guest Services window or a Universal Vacation Planning / Destination Universal desk at a Universal hotel. An Eligible Military Member must be present to exchange the vouchers for your activated 2026 Military Freedom Passes. - Activate your Freedom Pass at the turnstile.
Enter one of the parks covered by your pass (Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure, plus Volcano Bay if you have the 3-Park option). Scanning the Freedom Pass at the turnstile on your first entry activates the pass. Once activated and linked to your account, you’ll be eligible to see and purchase Epic Universe add-ons. - Purchase your Epic Universe 1-Day add-on.
After activation, log in to your Universal Orlando account and go to the Universal Military Epic Products page to see available Epic Universe dates and pricing.
From there you can:- Select your desired visit date to Epic Universe.
- Purchase 1-Day Epic Universe add-on tickets for up to six people (remember: only one add-on per date per 2026 Freedom Pass).
In many cases you may also be able to complete the purchase directly through the Universal Orlando app, depending on how Universal surfaces the offer for your account.
- Need help? Call Universal’s military line.
If you don’t see the Epic Universe add-on listed or run into any trouble, call Universal’s dedicated military line at (877) 801-9720 and ask for assistance with the 2026 Military Freedom Pass Epic Universe 1-Day add-on.
For full details and pricing on the 2026 Military Freedom Pass itself, see my main 2026 Freedom Pass post (I’ll link it here as soon as it’s live).
Wrap Up: Is the 2026 Epic Universe 1-Day Add-On Worth It?
Because you must buy, redeem, and activate your 2026 Military Freedom Pass before you can see or purchase the Epic Universe 1-Day add-on, most families won’t actually buy this add-on until they are already at Universal Orlando and have started using their passes.
The good news is that this gives you the flexibility to wait and see how your schedule, weather, and energy levels are shaping up before committing to your Epic Universe day. The trade-off is that the Epic Universe add-on uses limited daily inventory and date-based pricing, so the most popular days will cost more and may sell out.
What do you think of the 2026 Epic Universe 1-Day add-on for Military Freedom Pass holders? Will you be adding an Epic Universe day to your Universal trip, or is your family planning to focus just on the original three parks? I’d love to hear your plans in the comments section below!
