Finally, a real thrill ride in EPCOT! Look no further than the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!

📍 EPCOT | World Discovery | Wonders of Xandar
This action-packed attraction located in EPCOT’s World Discovery’s  Wonders of Xandar Pavilion promises an out-of-this-world experience for visitors of all ages.
The Pre-Show
Like most Disney attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has a a great pre-show as part of the ride queue. The pre-show involves displays of scenery of the capital of the Nova Empire, space ships, and other items. There is a video wall part way through featuring the Guardians team.
At the end of the queue, a set number of people are moved into a room that is part of the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion with a large overhead video screen. On this screen is and intro to the ride back story featuring the Nova Prime Irani Rael of the Nova Corps (Glenn Close) and Centurion Tal Marik of the Nova Corps (Terry Crews).
Chaos then ensues and all of the Terrans as they call people from Earth have to evacuate. You escape vehicles are the ride itself.
Disney does not allow photography past this room and MDT has respected their wish, so we have no ride vehicle pics (as we like to present) or on ride photos.

Important to Mention…
While Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind promises an exhilarating experience, it’s essential to address the “puke factor” that some visitors have encountered. Due to the ride’s unique rotation and unpredictable movements, a small number of guests have reported feeling queasy during or after the adventure.
In response to guest feedback, Disney has taken proactive measures to ensure everyone’s comfort. Each ride vehicle is now equipped with convenient puke bags, strategically placed for those who may need them. Disney has also added extra garbage cans outside of the attraction, providing a quick and easy solution for those who may need a moment after the cosmic adventure.
It’s important to note that motion sickness can vary from person to person, and while the majority of visitors thoroughly enjoy the ride without any issues, Disney is committed to enhancing the experience for everyone. These thoughtful additions aim to address any discomfort and ensure that guests can focus on the fun and excitement of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride. So, fear not, intrepid space travelers – Disney has your back!
Tips for a Smooth Cosmic Journey
For those who may be prone to motion sickness or simply want to ensure a comfortable ride, here are some helpful tips to make your Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind experience a cosmic breeze:
- Stay Hydrated: Dehydration can contribute to motion sickness. Make sure to stay hydrated before and during the ride to keep your body in top form.
- Focus on the Horizon: During the ride, try to focus on the horizon or a fixed point in the distance. Avoid excessive head movements and maintain a forward gaze to help your brain orient itself.
- Close Your Eyes if Necessary: If you start feeling uneasy, closing your eyes briefly can help regain your equilibrium. Remember, the Guardians’ cosmic adventure is just as thrilling with your eyes closed!
- Use Puke Bags Responsibly: If you find yourself feeling queasy, don’t hesitate to use the provided puke bags. It’s a common courtesy to fellow riders, and Disney has ensured they are readily available for your convenience.
- Visit During Off-Peak Times: If possible, plan your ride during off-peak hours when the wait times are shorter. This can help reduce any anxiety associated with waiting in line.
- Know Your Limits: Everyone’s tolerance for motion varies. If you’re unsure about your ability to handle the ride, consider trying less intense attractions first and gradually working your way up.
Remember, Disney’s goal is to create a magical and enjoyable experience for all guests. By keeping these tips in mind, you can maximize the fun and minimize any potential discomfort during your Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind adventure. May your journey through the cosmos be smooth and memorable!
