Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is an amazing new attraction located in EPCOT.
Inspired by the Pixar film Ratatouille, this ride takes guests on a delightful culinary adventure through the eyes of Remy, the talented little rat with a passion for cooking.
As visitors step into the attraction, they are instantly transported to the bustling streets of Paris. The attention to detail is exceptional, with charming architecture, colorful facades, and a lively ambiance reminiscent of the French capital. The ride begins in La Place de Rémy, a beautiful square lined with quaint shops and cafes.
The Ride
Guests board “ratmobiles,” specially designed trackless ride vehicles shaped like rats. (Don’t worry, they’re cute!) These adorable vehicles are reminiscent of Remy’s small size, allowing visitors to experience the world from his perspective. As the adventure unfolds, riders shrink down to the size of a rat, adding an immersive touch to the experience.
The ratmobiles can accommodate multiple guests at a time with bench-style seating, providing a comfortable and enjoyable seating arrangement. The vehicles move smoothly and gracefully throughout the attraction, simulating the nimble movements of a rat as they scurry through Gusteaus. Also note that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a family-friendly attraction, which is Disney speak for everyone can ride! There are no height requirements.
The journey commences as the ratmobiles scurry through Gusteau’s restaurant, where they encounter various scenes and characters from the film. The sights, sounds, and even smells of the kitchen come to life, transporting guests into Remy’s culinary world. With a mix of practical sets and stunning 3D projections, the attraction seamlessly blends physical and digital elements, creating a truly immersive experience, with a few surprises along the way.
The Queue
There was a whole expansion made to the France pavilion to make way for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The area leading up to the attraction is breathtakingly beautiful with a fountain at the center, however, once you enter the building, the physical queue is VERY tight. It is also important to note that it is dark, as well.
The Wait
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is undoubtedly a fantastic use of the Genie+ Lightning Lane system due to its immense popularity and potential for long lines. The typical wait time for this attraction is usually around 45 minutes. With its captivating storyline, immersive theming, and innovative ride technology, it’s no wonder this attraction draws in a significant number of guests eager to experience the magic of Ratatouille.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was a great addition to EPCOT, making the park more family friendly. We love the mix of iconic characters and fun thrills as we wander around the World Showcase.
PRO TIP: Either purchase an Individual Lightning Lane reservation, ride first thing during early entry, or late at night for the shortest wait times.
