Directions to walk between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), with Pictures!
The Polynesian Village Resort is located within easy walking distance of the Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center.
This walk is convenient for guests staying at the resort to access the Monorail Station and its EPCOT Line without riding all the way around the whole Magic Kingdom monorail loop.
Many Shades of Green Guests will walk to the Polynesian and then on to the TTC.
The Map
Below is a map overview of the walking route from the Polynesian Village Resort to the TTC. The entire walk is just a quarter mile (0.25) and takes 5-10 minutes to walk depending on your speed.
Directions
As usual in these walking posts, I’ll give directions from the resort lobby and here there are 3 ways you could exit the lobby. If you are walking from a diffferent building at the resort, just adjust.
From the Polynesian’s lobby, you can start your walk 3 ways from the lobby, go out the front lobby doors and turn left, go out the doors at the rear of the lobby and turn right, or head to the right rear of the lobby and out the door there and take a left then right.
The Poly has many curving pathways that go around buildings, and there are always at least 2 options of how to get from point A to point B.
Rather than try to describe each and every path, which would soon become confusing in a post I’m going to place an expanded section of the overall map that shows the paths through the resort and you can find your own way to where the sidewalk leaves the property (the red dot on the map below). To do so all you need to do is face the rear of the lobby or face Bay Lake and head to the right of the property.
Once you reach this point you are really almost there!
The picture below is taken at the red dot looking away from the resort. The path to the left with the log walls is the path to the TTC. To it’s right is the parking lot and the way back to the front of the lobby
You’ll see this map here.
Just walk down the log walled path.
And you will come to a crosswalk.
View after crossing the road and walking down the short curved path in the pic above.
From there you will be walking into the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Here you will have to process through Security. Depending on the attendance and staffing of the day, you may have to walk under the monorail tracks to get to the open entrance or it might be in the area prior to the tracks.
Well that’s it for the walk to the TTC. Its a quick easy walk.
See my Transportation and Ticket Center page for more info on the TTC and the transportation options there.
More Pics of the Route in Reverse
Getting back to the resort is simply reversing the path. Here are the pictures showing how it looks walking from the TTC to back to the Polynesian Resort grounds.
When leaving the TTC for your return walk to the Polynesian you will head to the far right as you exit where the red dot is in the map above.
This is where you will exit the security area.
Then just keep heading to the right towards the crosswalk.
Cross the Road.
Walk up the path, and you are back on Poly property.
Over to you
