Shades of Green is the Military Only Resort located right on Walt Disney World property.

Shades of Green is located right on Walt Disney World Property, in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area very near Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Grand Floridian Resort and Spa,

Shades of Green is open to all U.S. Service Members current and retired  Active, Reserve, and Guard. There are also several other categories of those associated with the military that are also eligible so be sure to check out Shades of Green’s Eligibility.

Shades of Green was originally the Disney Golf Resort and is nestled between two of Disney’s PGA golf courses, which offer military discounts on golf.

Shades of Green offers rates base upon rank/grade so be sure to check out their Room Rates. Special discounted rates are available for limited periods.

Shades of Green’s Suites

Shades of Green offers eleven Suite combinations which sleep from 5 to 14 people!

Because the number of Family Suites is very limited, these rooms are reserved quite a long time ahead of time. If you are interested in making a reservation for a Suite, I suggest you do so as soon as you confirm your vacation dates.

Really, the suites are so popular that they usually fill up 365 days prior! If you want to reserve a suite, you should call promptly when the reservation line opens at 8:00 eastern Monday – Saturday!!!

The views from most every room are spectacular. Views throughout the resort are unique and interesting. The lush tropical landscaping provides an incredible backdrop.

Shades of Green's Standard Guest Rooms

There are 2 guest wings at Shades of Green, the original Magnolia Wing and the newer Palm Wing. All but 1 of the suites (the Magnolia) are in the Palm Wing.

Suites in the Palm Wing either face outwards to the Palm Gold Course, or inwards to either the view you see just above. The Magnolia suite overlooks the Magnolia Pool

The Family Suite is a one bedroom Suite (sleeps 8). In the master room there is a king bed, TV and full bath. In the living area there are 3 queen beds, table and chairs, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, iron and board, TV, microwave and a full bath.

Shades of Green is a great choice for family vacations. We know some families are bigger than others, so our spacious Family Suite is built just for you. The Family Suite can accommodate up to eight people with a king bed and three queen beds in the living area. Enjoy even more comforts of home with two full bathrooms, microwave and mini-refrigerator.

Palm Suite

The Palm Suite, located in the Palm Wing, can sleep up to 10 people. It boasts two bedrooms with two queen beds in each and a living room with a single sleeper sofa. Ideal for two families or guests with special needs, the Palm Suite also has two bathrooms, including one with an accessible shower. You’ll also find a full-size refrigerator, microwave and large dining table for family meals.

The Living area has a 42 inch flat screen TV and fire place. Dining room table with chairs and breakfast bar with chairs. The Kitchenette has a full size fridge and microwave. The two bathrooms are handicap accessible, one of them has a roll in shower. Please be advised, guests booked for the Palm Suite may be pre-empted if the suite is required for use by a Wounded Warrior.

Where are the suites located?

Which suite is the largest?

The Magnolia Suite is the largest at 1,800 square feet. It features two bedrooms, two full baths, a half bath, a full-size laundry area, and a large living and dining space with a panoramic golf course view.

Are any suites ADA-accessible?

Yes. The Palm Suite includes accessible features such as wider doorways, roll-in showers, and an ADA-compliant layout.

Can I request a specific suite or room number?

You may request a specific suite or location when booking, but room assignments are not guaranteed and depend on availability.

Can my suite reservation be preempted?

Yes, in rare cases. The Palm Suite may be preempted for use by Wounded Warriors, and the Garden Suite may be preempted up to 90 days in advance for a wedding package.
