What Is Les Vins des Chefs de France?
Les Vins des Chefs de France is a small walk-up beverage stand in the France Pavilion at EPCOT.
It has a simple job: serve French wine, Champagne, beer, and a pair of frozen cocktails that have become some of the better-known adult drinks around World Showcase.
This is not a food location, and it is not somewhere you need to plan a meal around.
Instead, Les Vins des Chefs de France works best as a quick stop while you are touring World Showcase, especially if you want one of its signature frozen drinks or a glass of French wine without sitting down at a restaurant.
Location
EPCOT | World Showcase | France
Les Vins des Chefs de France is located along the World Showcase promenade at the front of the France Pavilion, across the walkway from Chefs de France.
That makes it a little different from several of the other food and drink locations in France.
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, L’Artisan des Glaces, and several other France Pavilion destinations draw you deeper into the pavilion. Les Vins des Chefs de France stays right along the main World Showcase path.
Even if you head deeper into France first, you will still pass this location if you continue around World Showcase toward Morocco.
There is no reservation involved. Just walk up to the window and order.
The Signature Frozen Slushes
Although Les Vins des Chefs de France serves several wines and other drinks, its two frozen cocktails are what the stand is best known for.
Grand Marnier Orange Slush
The Orange Slush combines Grand Marnier, rum, Grey Goose Orange, and orange juice.
It is sweet, citrusy, and unmistakably orange-forward.
This is the richer of the two signature frozen drinks and the one to consider if you like sweeter cocktails or orange flavors.
Grey Goose Citron Lemon Slush
The Citron Slush is made with Grey Goose Citron, vodka, and lemonade.
Compared with the Orange Slush, it has a brighter lemon flavor and a somewhat sharper citrus profile.
If you prefer lemonade-style drinks rather than sweeter orange cocktails, this is probably the better place to start.
Le Geant Slush
There is also a version called the Le Geant Slush.
It includes an additional shot of either Grand Marnier or Grey Goose Citron, depending on which version you choose.
Le Geant makes the most sense if you already know you like the drink and want the additional shot.
Current Les Vins des Chefs de France Menu
The menu is small enough that it is easy to understand.
At the time of this update, the main choices include:
Frozen Cocktails
- Grand Marnier Orange Slush
- Grey Goose Citron Lemon Slush
- Le Geant Slush – With an additional Grand Marnier or Grey Goose Citron shot
French Wine
The stand offers several French wines by the glass, including red, white, and rosé selections.
The list normally includes basic pours along with regional and more premium French wines.
That makes Les Vins des Chefs de France useful even if the frozen cocktails do not interest you. You can simply stop for a glass of French wine while continuing around World Showcase.
Champagne and Beer
Champagne is also available, along with Kir Royal, which combines Champagne with blackcurrant liqueur.
For beer drinkers, the stand serves Kronenbourg 1664, a French lager.
Which Frozen Slush Should You Choose?
The easiest way to decide between the two signature drinks is by flavor.
Choose the Orange Slush if you:
- Prefer sweeter cocktails
- Like orange-forward drinks
- Enjoy Grand Marnier
- Want the richer of the two frozen options
Choose the Citron Slush if you:
- Prefer lemon to orange
- Like lemonade-style cocktails
- Prefer a brighter citrus flavor
- Enjoy Grey Goose Citron
And because this is a walk-up stand, it is easy for two adults traveling together to order one of each and compare them.
STEVE SAYS:Â In the past, I favored the Citron Slush, but in recent years I’ve gravitated to the Orange Slush. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
Don’t Confuse It With the EPCOT Festival France Booth
This is worth mentioning because the France Pavilion has another beverage location during EPCOT festivals.
Les Vins des Chefs de France is the permanent walk-up stand on the World Showcase promenade.
During festivals such as the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, France also has a temporary festival marketplace with its own food and drink menu.
They are separate locations with separate menus.
If you are specifically looking for the Grand Marnier Orange Slush or Grey Goose Citron Lemon Slush, Les Vins des Chefs de France is the location you want.
Is There Seating?
Les Vins des Chefs de France is designed primarily as a grab-and-go beverage stop rather than a place to settle in for a long break.
There is no dedicated dining room or seating area associated with the kiosk.
That makes it best suited to guests who are comfortable taking their drink with them as they continue touring World Showcase or finding an available nearby place to stop.
If what you really want is an air-conditioned sit-down break with a meal, one of EPCOT’s restaurants is going to make more sense.
When Les Vins des Chefs de France Makes Sense
This location is a good fit if you:
- Want one of the two signature frozen cocktails
- Would like French wine, Champagne, or beer without sitting down at a restaurant
- Want a quick adult-beverage stop while touring World Showcase
It is not useful if you are looking for food.
For that, the France Pavilion gives you much better options farther inside, including bakery items, ice cream, quick-service meals, crepes, and table-service dining.
Bottom Line
Les Vins des Chefs de France is a simple walk-up stop for French wine, Champagne, Kronenbourg beer, and its signature Grand Marnier Orange and Grey Goose Citron Lemon Slushes.
If you want a quick adult beverage while touring World Showcase, it is an easy stop to work into your EPCOT day.
For me, the frozen slushes are the real draw, and whether you prefer the Orange or Citron version mostly comes down to which citrus flavor you enjoy more.
