Space 220 is an amazing space themed restaurant located in EPCOT.
Like other themed Disney restaurants, Space 220 stretches the boundaries of the imagination, and you could say that it’s out of this world…
The restaurant simulates dining in space, with its theme centered around a space station orbiting 220 miles above Earth, hence the name. Guests access the restaurant via a special space elevator that simulates a journey from Earth to the Centauri Space Station. Once inside, diners enjoy panoramic views of space through digital screens, giving the illusion of being in orbit. The menu features contemporary American cuisine with a space-themed twist, offering an immersive dining experience for guests of all ages.
Ride up to Space 220 and check out the view
The Space Elevator
After checking in for your reservation, you’ll wait outside of the restaurant entrance. There is little covered area under which to stand in case of inclement weather!
Once the host or hostess calls you for your reservation, you will walk into the building and check in at the space elevator desk. Here you’ll be given a boarding pass for the space elevator and will be told to wait off to the side. There is some seating available for your wait here. Behind the desk you will see 2 entry doors for the space elevators. and you’ll probably see a line of people lined up along the wall next to one or both of the elevators.
After a typical 10 to 15 minute wait you’ll be called to stand by one of the elevators. Here you’ll wait another 5 to 10 minutes until that elevator arrives. departing guests will exit and then you will be asked to board by the elevator operator. The real elevator adds effects (visual, audio, and tactile) to simulate the 220 mile journey from EPCOT’s Mission Space Pavilion to the Centauri Space Station in orbit.
There is a video screen in the floor on which you can watch Florida grow smaller during your accent and another screen in the ceiling on which you’ll see the station as you near it. The “outside” views on the screens are coordinated with the time of day (either a day or night view of Florida.
Atmosphere
By far, the most alluring element of Space 220 is the ambience and atmosphere.
Upon reaching the top of the space elevator journey, you’ll step out into the waiting area where those leaving will be queued up for their descent. You’ll proceed down a short hall with views of how they grow vegetables in space are to the side and step up to another podium where you will check in and present your boarding pass. You will then be taken to your table.
As guests step out into the main dining area of Space 220, they are greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the earth below. Table height-to-ceiling windows surround the restaurant, offering sweeping vistas of the earth from your vantage point above Florida, stars, and other celestial phenomena. You’ll see space ships coming and going from the station as well as space walks and other funny exploits and easter eggs. You might see a spaceman walking his dog or a light saber duel.
The Centauri Space Station’s interior is meticulously designed to evoke the sensation of being aboard a futuristic outpost, with sleek metallic accents, high-tech lighting, and interactive elements that enhance the immersive experience. Guests are invited to explore the space station’s various viewing decks and observation areas, allowing them to marvel at the wonders of the universe while they dine.

Overall, the cuisine at Space 220 is an inter-galactic spin on American food. On the menu you will find an assortment of dishes that are sure to please everyone. Steak, chicken, fish, pork, and ribs have all found their place at Space 220 with their own out-of-this-world twist.

Space 220 Menus on Disney:
Reservations
Space 220 is a table service restaurant in Walt Disney World, and reservations are highly encouraged. “Highly encouraged” is Disney speak for necessary. Not only is Space 220 one of the newest restaurants in Disney, so it is in high demand, it is also fairly small. Snagging reservations can be quite difficult.
Advanced dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, so set your calendars!
It is possible to snag walk up admittance to both the restaurant and lounge, or a seat at the bar. But if Space 220 is a must do for you, make your reservations ahead if possible!
Space 220 Lounge
Do you want to experience Space 220 but don’t want to commit to a full meal? While it is delicious, we totally get it. How do you commit to a full 3 course meal when you are steps away from not only the World Showcase, but likely also an EPCOT festival.
Lounge guests are seated at tables on the upper level of the restaurant near the bar and at the bar if desired.
Guests can enjoy a smaller a-la-cart menu at the lounge, as well as a full drink menu. Best part is, folks looking to enjoy the lounge get the same ambience experience as the prix fixe guests!
The lounge menu features Flight Bites (small plates) and 3 items from the Lunch Star course.
Important to note: Space 220 Lounge is NOT like typical Disney lounges. This popular destination WILL require a dining reservation. Don’t fret, though. Reservations to the lounge are much easier to get than the full menu restaurant.
