The Hollywood Studios Resorts

Disney offers several resort hotels that are a quick Disney Skyliner ride away from Hollywood Studios and EPCOT as well. What is the Disney Skyliner?
Walt Disney World’s Skyliner is a gondola system that connects Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot’s International Gateway.
The stations are located as follows:
- Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts Station – This station is located on the bridge between the 2 resorts
- Caribbean Beach Resort – This station services the southern portion of the Caribbean Beach and is the Main Station; here transfers are required for those arriving who desire to continue on to another destination.
- The Riviera Resort – This station services the Rivera and northern portion of the Caribbean Beach. This station serves as both a turn point and a loading and unloading station
- Hollywood Studios – Outside the Entrance
- Epcot’s International Gateway – This station serves both EPCOT and the nearby EPCOT Deluxe Resorts
The Skyliner provides guests with quick, efficient transportation between these destinations.
What are the Skyliner Resorts?
All of the resorts discussed in this post are Skyliner Resorts! They are all have a Skyliner station or are within a short walk from a station.
Overall, when aiming for proximity to EPCOT, these resorts offer a range of options to suit various preferences and budgets, ensuring a magical stay near the heart of the Disney magic.
The Skyliner/EPCOT Resorts fall into all 3 of Disney World’s Resort Categories:

What About the Friendships?
What’s a Friendship you ask?
Friendships are Disney watercraft taxis that ply the waters of the World Showcase Lagoon, Crescent Lake, and the waterway to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Friendships operate in 2 separate areas:
- The World Showcase Lagoon – ferrying guests from the front to the rear of the World Showcase  and back
- Crescent Lake, and the waterway to Disney’s Hollywood Studios – taking guests between EPCOT’s International Gateway, the EPCOT Deluxe Resorts, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
For this post we’re interested in the latter. The Friendships provide free, efficient travel between the EPCOT Resorts on Crescent Lake, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT’s International Gateway.
The Boats stop at these docks in this order:
- EPCOT’s International Gateway
- Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
- Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
- Between Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Between Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts
- Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
- Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
- EPCOT’s International Gateway
The Resorts
Disney’s Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, and Pop Century Resorts are the most convenient to Hollywood Studios as they all have Skyliner stations!

All of the Skyliner Resorts require first riding one Skyliner line to the Caribbean Beach station and then riding the line to Hollywood Studios. THose staying at the Caribbean Beach only have to wait in line at their station and ride the one line to Hollywood Studios.

So, let’s talk about Disney’s Yacht Club – the whole vibe of the resort is super classy but laid-back at the same time, with its nautical theme and all. It’s like staying in a fancy yacht club, but with Mickey Mouse as your host. And when you need a break from all the park hopping, they’ve got this amazing pool complex called Stormalong Bay that’s like its own mini waterpark. So yeah, if you’re all about convenience and a touch of luxury, Disney’s Yacht Club is where it’s at!
