Disney Officials confirmed today that they will be renewing their Disney Armed Forces Salute through 28 September 2013!
Yesterday rumors began flying around the message boards that Disney had released info on a new Armed Forces Salute.
I have been working with Disney behind the scenes for a quite a while on this and they told me that this info was released by an ITT Office prematurely. What has been released so far is only some of the details, not all of them.
Disney told me they’d be working with MWR on the offer this week and that they would email me the details as soon as they could. Today they told me it will be mid-week next week for the official announcement.
In the meantime I’m scrambling to get the word out in every form I can so I’ve posted the information that is available so far on this page and I’ll update it when I know more:

Dear Steve ,
Thank You for your service for helping military men, women and families .
You’ve come along ways from when I started coming on here and
look how much your website has grown .
The reason why I’m writing to tell you, this fall daughter who’s stationed
at Tyndall AF will be getting out of the Airforce , and son will be out of the
Navy this fall ….. Right now they’re both deployed
I have one question tho, can National Guards receive the same Disney
tickets as the military ????
Debbie
Hey there Debbie,
So nice to hear from you again! And thanks for the kind words.
Yep, Guardsmen qualify for the same discounts, as do Reservists (Like I was): Armed forces Salute, regular Disney Military Discounts, Shades of Green, Anheuser-Busch!
Thanks for your family’s service!
Steve
My son-in-law, who is an active Air Force man, is interested in visiting Disney the end of October, 2013, with his family. I stumbled upon your site and noticed these military discounts ” end” Sept. 2013…..Does this mean there are no discounts for Oct. 27-Nov1??
Thank you!
Hello Susanne,
Well, the Disney Armed Forces Salute is a temporary offer which has been going (on and off) since January 2009 and also back in 2002. We never know for sure if and when it will be renewed.
Disney usually renews it very close to its expiration date. In 2012 it was renewed on 8 August (it was set to expire 30 Sept). See: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/disney-military-discounts/when-will-disney-renew-the-armed-forces-salute-for-october-2013-through-2014/
But the regular Disney military discounts will still be available even if the Armed Forces Salute isn’t renewed: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/blog/disney-military-discounts/regular-disney-military-discount-for-walt-disney-world-and-disneyland-tickets/ & http://www.militarydisneytips.com/Shades-of-Green.html
